I was referring to all 3, not just where hermits live.

Apt and succinct, I can see the appeal that stems from your selections, and how they would stimulate the senses.

While I would choose a place along similar lines, I think my personal choice would have to be Mayohiga. It's a place that would be almost impossible to get to even if you were in Gensokyo, and I can leave there with a flourish of luck from the items I take. While it might not win in the flashy or extraordinary department, I think it should serve as a nice little quaint sight.

Chen's "Village of Cats" stage is said to be at the centre of Mayohiga, so -
