I've already done that... My spring decided to come quickly. I celebrated it by defeating PCB on Normal modo with Sakuya(A). Got nearly 200 million points...

I tried playing it for one whole day straight, and I still couldn't 1cc normal mode. Even though I did figure out how to get past Sakuya only losing like 1 or 2 lives, even though her stage is... more difficult to figure out...

Their real function is to clear the screen and death-bombing after all, you don't really need any to defeat bosses.

Things are kinda slow here for the last few weeks so, let's make it livelier then! Let's start with... weekly touhou topic, dubbed as W.T.T.
W.T.T. for this week is:
Who's your favorite playable character in Windows-era Touhou?
For me, it's Sanae. I love that ZUN made her as a more "balanced" type to be a bridge between Reimu and Marisa's styles in the gameplay. And how her image progressed from a soft and ditzy "good girl" to an eccentric, especially with her particular knowledge about anime and "giant robots". I love a girl who's into robots.

ingame, i use her small hitbox to graze farm all the time and i cannot live without homing amulet
plus reimu's personality MATCHES mine, lazy yet dependable (at times)

Gameplay-wise, I am more into Marisa since she is by far the fastest and the strongest option. With that speed of hers, I could use a trick to cheat bullets' hitbox, though it's not always a success story. I'm not into grazing type, it's far much more efficient if we kill the boss before we got killed, not to count additional score points; you may want to farm scores via grazing as well, but it's obviously very risky. Kinda disappointed with her in UFO though, I'd expect her to get trimmed since she was pretty much the best (at a time, cheating) choice in both MoF and SA, but truth to be told, I didn't expect her to be trimmed that bad. Good to know that she is already on her shoes in TD, but in said installment, my favorite is Youmu because of her focused shot type, which is able to deal instant enormous damage.
Character-wise, obviously Sanae. Ah, an impulsive, ambitious, selfish, and up-to-go girl, she is just really right for me. Sanae is pretty much my best choice in UFO, her homing damage is way higher than Reimu's homing amulet, her widespread type is fine too, I mean, for a frog-shaped danmaku, it sure is quite devastating. Her speed ain't bad either, at least not as bad as Reimu's.
