Yeah. Having to restart stage 6 was too discouraging to be stubborn and beat the mountain god. Is the right way of doing that spell to scream stream your way across (starting from under Kanako) then up the screen? Theres too many knives for it to be as simple as easy mode, and it seems harder to do it by streaming across the whole screen.

MoF should have had a graze system and award faith for it like SA and its bonus scoring thing. It feels like everything after and including stage 4 ZUN was thinking "so how close do you want to get to these? Oh heres the God's Rice Porridge card, enjoy".

On normal mode? Well, despite the difficulty, you need to weave your way through those large ball danmaku, going to either direction, and as soon as a path clears, head straight up. It's just as you say, you need to start beneath Kanako, head either direction, then head straight up while dodging the knives.

As a note, Kanako's knife spellcard is easier than Sakuya's.

Yeah. The balls are the easy part, theres just so many knives you have to keep a faster, more aggressive pace. So like this game to make you combine slow and quick motions. Have you noticed Kanako's spells are "weak" to aggressive players?

Time manipulation is way above anything Kanako can do

Discovered this during easy mode. Going above the size changing point in this spell made it easier to do, provided you move fast enough.

That spellcard is easy anyways, even if you're at the bottom of the screen.

Kanako's spells aren't weak to aggressive players. Only a couple of them are, but the most of them are vary detrimental to aggressive players, especially Mountain of Faith.

For the normal rounds, I'll be switching things up and claim Shanghai~

The hitboxes match the bullet size so it could be a challenge to graze successfully, but MoF doesnt even have grazing anyways.

The MoF card is the exception. The rest can be played aggressively without too much worry. Miracle of Otensui is borderline. The non spells except the 2nd one can be done aggressively too. Stage 5 is similar. Sanae's non spells and Kanako's 3rd non spell behave like Orin's Blazing Wheel card and the big fairies scattered over stage 5.



Lasers in general are just troublesome. Especially curvy ones. Actually everything about PCB is troublesome. From tiny kunals and train riding youkai to butterflies, note shaped bullets, time slowing slashes, and ghost lasers, all of it is a pain in the neck.



Guaranteed Jenniphur is already working on one.

Just a little suggestion for the .gif version, I suppose it would look better if you made the sprites more showy, something like a white/black border for each sprite. It's quite hard to look at Reimu and Flandre in one glance properly considering their colors' are similar with the background.
