hmm too bad I cannot plays like that, my playstyle on mahjong is similar to Ako or Nodoka~ calculated one and depends a lot on highest chances, rather than weird or impossible hand like in many Saki's anime character~

I actually prefer Saki but honestly like the star girl more (forgot her name already). I can see why you'd like Teru. She was pretty badass too with all the cyclone shit going on. It was awesome seeing her rekt everyone.

The entire series is cheating. Like, everyone with their weird mahjong traits are cheating. I only got Rinshan Kaihou once in my freaking life lmao. Granted I was kind of playing by guess. Too lazy to memorize the hands.

Funny, I don't have a playstyle thanks to the aforementioned reason. I really want to get into it, though. But memorization is a bit of a bitch to be honest. You know what, though, even people IRL got superstitions about mahjong so maybe the show isn't far from it all. Fate and luck are pretty random but mysterious traits of the universe.

err, Actually I like Teru not because of her play style, but more like because of her character, looking so scary but when she was with media or with her teammates is different, moreover when it's Awai Oohoshi, I want to poke Teru's cheeks~

Rinshan Kaihou is easy to get, only when you're playing 3 person mahjong, as for normal 4 player mahjong it's kind of hard, but, Chankan is easier to get, I usually aim for that hand if don't have any yaku and see some players do open Pon~
you'll remember about it, if plays Mahjong frequently~ xD
I already remember all of the hands, except for Yakuman Hands~ the name is too hard~ =3=

if you don't have a certain playstyle, then it's similar to Ako or Hanamura Nodoka, because both of them have no certain playstyle, just doing what they thing is right or fast~
probably you'll find something like that real when playing with person who plays a lot, or probably if you played in Japan~ xD

Okay, so I know that you like Teru because of her gap moe, and I was simply making a commentary on Teru about what makes her appear cool in matches.

I honestly can't read for shit so when I'm playing online I can't tell what hand I get right, even if I do, so it doesn't really help at all. I learned the general pattern, and thankfully an online game gives the option to deal in a hand. If it was IRL I wouldn't even know I completed a hand sometimes. Haha. I'll probably get back to playing more often when I go to Japan and learn their language. I'm planning to go there to study.

I can imagine how the wayward style of Nodoka can just happen. Rationally, doing what's best in a given situation is thought to be the best after all.

I've been wanting to follow pro tournaments but I can't find them normally. It seems like I'd have to search Youtube with Japanese-written words and that's just tedious. Normally searching for them yielded hardly any results last time I tried like an year ago.

as for playstyle, my fav one is Takei Hisa, that buchou is so cool, also dem wait, not to mention she's very good at counter-play and normal play~

umm, you can always check the wikia, and learn about it little by little till you remember all of them~ at 1st I don't know many about hands and how to count, but now I can count points properly and know many kinds of hands~

for semifinal in Achiga, somehow the one I support most is rather than Toki, maybe the Main chara team or Achiga, Kuro and her sister is bullyable and somehow I want to cheer on them haha~
I only find Toki and her yuri partner to be appealing, the other is too much plain, like another random chara just to fill in the story haha~
so probably my most fav team for Achiga semi final is like this~
1.Achiga
2-3. either Toki's school or Teru's school(cannot decide, both of them are good and cheer able haha)~
4. the last random school~

Well to be fair I found Achiga pretty plain too. Most of the people that season were plain tbh. Like the author was running out of character ideas. She just put out a few bewbie monsters out there haha. Not that I hate boobs. But yeah, they could use some damn work. Honestly, they got way too many characters, but it really makes the world larger all the more.

Yeah, mine is about the same as your list, except that I'd swift Achiga for Shiraitodai (was it?).

Koromo maybe loved by the moon, but Saki is loved by the tiles~ and she's very good at playing, even without rinshan, meanwhile koromo is very good because her stagnant power that makes other players cannot get into Tenpai~

ah before you watch that vid, that tournament supposed to be 3 player mahjong, not 4 player mahjong~
