In the movie, that's an ongoing thing.

According to the lore it gives, cats basically select a guardian who they impart some essence to. This person is then forever more part cat, even while appearing and even being quite human.

Dogs sense this essence, even if we hmans can't see it and thus, regard a cat person as a threat.

(Its a fun thing when you just sit down to stroke one cat and a whole bunch of em flocks around you. Those I didnt took care of just took a part of me standing out and enjoyed themself.

I'm a bit jealous. I like cats for some unknown reason. It would be fine to attract a lot of them like that.

Though I do have something odd happen to me around them too. They always show up when I am in trouble. If I even have a single day where I am thinking of giving up, suddenly a cat won't be far off, even in areas where cats aren't normally found.

One of my friends even noticed after awhile and started using it to tell how I was feeling. Also, when I am getting really lonely, enough that I can't seem to figure out what to do, a stray or abandoned cat always finds it's way to me.

To top that off, I know when something serious is about to happen in my life, cuz a cat who is living with me will suddenly start acting really funny a bit before it happens. It's as if they are protecting me.

Like I said, I'd shrug it off, but even other people have noticed and without me even telling them. One of my friends joked all I needed was a newspaper and it would be like early edition.
