Thought there would be a new one, was just confirming the rules, guess other people posting confused me.

Didn't even notice this. I assumed the 6th slot rule was the only new rule so I ignored the rest.

I had a crazy idea, Pumpjack. Why not wait til Saturday when people are back at home from Christmas and shit? Sure it means skipping Christmas, but just think it'll be in time for New Years. Not only would it not feel as rushed, people will have a little more time to get ready. Also, you said earlier you wished you could have started on Saturday. You still can.

Waifu game has a tradition of starting whether you're ready or not.

Yeah i feel like waiting til Saturday would be the best thing to do.

Though I understand people not liking the new rule, I don't understand why so many people are dropping out due to it; if you play the game and just ignore the rule, you get the same 5 slots making it not change from how it was last time. Maybe I'm just missing something...



Pumpjack wanted the game to be on the same schedule as the last winter games so he wanted round 2 to start this Saturday, making it a rather small Round 1. I had a thought that might be nice; what if we started Round 1 on Saturday and just make one of the two week rounds a one week round? The game will fit the yearly schedule for Pumpjack and will start on a better day for everyone else.

Because the 6th slot was a reward for those who had participated actively in the waifu games prior and you only had to prove you had participated in 'X' amount of games to get that slot but now anyone can half ass it and get it plus the mecha slot

Thats my guess at least ill wind up getting a sixth slot more than likely anyways.

I know very little of the Fate series. But if what you say is true (and it seems so, after a little research), then- yes- they would qualify.

Given how much bitching there has been about the new rule, it has become appallingly clear to me that the concept of "Cooperation" is altogether despised and reviled amongst a great many of you.

Allow me to explain my logic.

-People have wanted a 6th slot.

-I wanted to keep the 6th slot 'special'. Not everyone would get it.

-In a clearly insane attempt to try something different, I decided that the qualifications for the sixth shouldn't be utterly random chance (lotto), nor reward/penalize newer/older players.

My devised system is equal odds, even footing.

People can still get a sixth slot should they want- it simply requires working together.

And even then, some observant users may find that they luck out, and qualify inadvertently.

I- silly me- dared to think that it could be kinda fun.

New rule sounded cool to me, dunno what everyone else was complaining about.

If I sound a little bitter, it's probably due to the fact that I'll be spending Christmas in a tiny apartment alone, 3000 miles away from anyone I know, and that I only get two days holiday.
