If you want to use that analogy, then yeah. You explained it better than I.
I'm sorry. I'm terrible at analogies so I look like knew nothing there.
It wasn't the analogy, it was the comment about how they fit together, it's woefully wrong. The people in IB would wreck the chat kids, and I would see hourly report of "he's being mean to me". The chat kids are mean to each other but it's passive aggressive so half the time they don't even know someone is mocking them(and i do get reports for that too from time to time).
Hmm…
I can't think of any solution besides those two places being separate section. Why does CTFG reacts the way it does especially since CTFG is use to same level of aggression but on the passive aggression? If I call a user fat, for example. CTFG would flip their shit but if I say to the same user, "Oh that user is always eating so much." I'm doing the same thing but one is direct and one is not. So why can't you handle one and not the other? One is inciting a reaction and the other wants me to feel sad about myself. So basically, I think what I'm getting is that CTFG needs to grow up in that respect or to quote Sneaky, "Stop acting like it's high school." Privatize the drama, stop with passive aggression, and make CTFG more thick skin. These are keys of improving CTFG.
But their separate places so there's nothing we can do.
Disclaimer just in case someone wants to take me the wrong way: Sorry if I seemed blunt or anything like that. I like CTFG and the users there and I'm not talking about anyone specifically. I was just having a conversation with Waar about CTFG.
These aren't my true feelings about CTFG. These are my observations from my 6-7 months on CTFG.
