I know they wouldn't give up or leave but how would they feel, that is what I am talking about. Would the yandere not really care at all, or would they be more depressing. Perhaps, happy? What would they feel in theory.

[font=Verdana]That would go in two ways. One, the yandere would feel depressed because she would lose a vital insurance on keeping his beloved at bay. In a simpler language, she may be able to blackmail her beloved by saying she has their child, so losing that means would probably sadden her. Two, she would not give a damn, and in fact, she may feel happy about it because her beloved's affection would be focused solely on her. The less the rival, the bigger her smile is.[/font]

Now lets focus on your first theory, do you think that it could make a yandere deeper as a character, would this make a dere better? The second theory just makes it really simple, is that for the better or worse?

[font=Verdana]What do you mean by deeper? A yandere is crazy but not totally crazy. Of course they would want a family just like everybody else, so of course, they would be saddened by that realization. On another note, they might also lose an insurance to keep their beloved in their grasp. I have seen a lot of movies and anime which shows that kind of dilemma.

What I mean by deeper, say you have an action hero he fights a lot of enemies in one movie, he is generally a superman type character. Now let say there is sequel and it seems he has a gambling debt and is now dealing with his gambling addiction, so he has become more relatable because he has a gambling debt like some people.
That is what I mean by deeper.

Is that good for you though? I know a lot of people can be happy with just a simple character like that as it focuses on the 'cute' aspect. Is focusing on one part in a yandere good for you, would say making them more complex ruin the yandere? I never understand how people can like the same thing over and over.

While some characters have an interesting or sad back story, how does this backstory change the character (notably deres)?

It is like this. I have a favorite food, but I do know I would eventually get bored of it if I keep on eating it for every meal. It does not hurt to taste something else from time to time. I think we already discussed this before. Every person has his own kind of personality. Realistically, there is no such thing as a purely stereotypical personality because I believe we have individual differences based on our cognitive thoughts and life experiences. Do not get me started with psychology. The term yandere only serves as a guide to learn one's personality, but it does not mean it is absolute.

Life experiences may change us in various ways. Let us put it like this. We have the inherent ability to learn. If I got burnt when I touched the flame of a candle, I won't do the same thing again because I realized it hurts or it is harmful for me. Applying it in the context of yandere, they make their everyday decisions and actions based on their life experiences. If they think stalking their beloved will make them feel relieved, as well as making their subject of affection closely guarded, then so be it. They may even think it is a way of expressing their love.
