Hello and good afternoon, Fakku!

I'll start by admitting that I'm not a huge fan of hentai, but I have been visiting Fakku! occasionally and I've finally decided to make an account. I'm hoping that my being here will help me get more interested in hentai and the like.

Oh, of course! I wouldn't dream of disrespecting anybody else's opinion. I've always been incredibly open to other opinions and if a certain kink doesn't interest me, I just leave it at that. c:

I've always enjoyed hentai pictures, but never really got into the more manga side of things, which is why I'm here. ^-^

The forums are interesting enough even if you don't get really into hentai. We have other sections such as videogames, random, art, writing, etc. All sorts of people join these forums, heck my bf doesn't know hardly anything about hentai and anime, but he joined here none the less lol.

Well maybe after reading hentai you will develop a liking for manga too and maybe you won't. Either case you should be able to find something in your interest here on the forum since we have almost all subjects covered.

[color=#993300]Well it'll really depend on the crowd you hang around with here, but it isn't all just about hentai here, not that it is a bad thing. Even then, Hentai is wonderful stuff, no doubt. Welcome to the forums, enjoy your time here.

If it is the manga aspect of hentai you are looking for, I recommend finding good stories. Essentially H-Manga are manga shorts with sex in them, and can offer good stories and/or art work. If you have any specific tags you like, I can help!

Absolutely! I've never been one to really hate on something. I'll give anything a fair chance and my tastes are usually all over the place. I might discuss why I didn't like a particular series or whatever, but I always try to be respectful of others. Online arguments tend to be pretty pointless, after all. xD

How did you know I wasn't much of a fan of manga in general?! I've been trying to get more into manga recently, but my tablet broke and I'm not exactly crazy about reading manga on my laptop. .-.



As far as I know, the only hentai manga I have read were based on anime characters I already liked that I found out of curiosity, so I don't believe I've experienced any that have had their own stories. I'm probably most interested in those with their own individual stories so I'll probably end up looking for those before long. ^-^

As far as tags are concerned, I'm not sure. My tastes tend to be all over the place and I'll give anything a try, so there usually isn't anything I'm completely against.

I see, I have the same thing when watching anime it has to be on my laptop I can't rly get into the mood to watch it on my phone.
well you can wait till you get more curious about it and you will eventually get used to reading it on your laptop or you can just wait till your tablet is fixed/till you buy a new one.
A Good way to get into manga is finding mangas about things you like. Don't just go with what is popular and what everyone likes. Manga comes in all kind of genres, shapes, artstyles and stories. So you might be able to find one special kind you like. Ask people to recommend you something just to suit your taste.

For example I'm more into sparkly romance stories where the eyes are big and very girly and psychological mindfucking ones where the art is more semi realistic. You can find stories where the art is very childlike and completely safe or you can find some where the art is almost realistic and story is more dark and contain mature content. But of course if you are not into the idea of reading comics at all and dislike the idea of draw people then it will be pretty hard to find something. (manga even comes in colour if you dislike all the greytones. Or else you can try anime which is animation, if you are a music and sound lover)

By the way, does anybody know how long Fakku!'s maintenance usually last? I've been trying to set an avatar since I got here, but it keeps telling me that Fakku! is under maintenance. Just curious. :p



I was originally meaning that I wasn't very into the manga side of hentai. I haven't read much manga whatsoever, so I guess both meanings were true. xD

Oh, I watch plenty of anime! The whole greytones of manga doesn't bother me in the slightest, but I find that I'd much rather watch an anime than read. I've still been trying to get more into manga (and light novels) recently, but it's been mostly confined to reading a few one-shot chapters or manga continuations/spinoffs of an anime I've already seen. I used to always visit a nearby bookstore and buy random manga that I thought looked good (usually based entirely on the cover and a quick flipthrough of the pages), but all the bookstores near me have closed within recent years and I don't get that same enjoyment from ordering manga online.

I'm fine with watching anime on my laptop as long as I have some headphones and that's usually how I do it, but it's not so favorable for reading manga. I can't exactly lay in bed and snuggle up with my laptop to read a manga like I could with my tablet, if that makes sense. I'm sure I'll get used to reading on my laptop before long though. >-<

And as I've said, my tastes are all over the place! I've watched anime that were full of violence or totally silly and filled with fan-service or really adorable romances. Some genres aren't my favorites, of course, but nothing that I just outright cannot stand. I guess that'll make it easier for me to find stuff. ^-^

I see, I see so you are an anime lover. Well then it is fine, I'm sure you will get used to reading manga in no time. I'm not worried ^^ Also I know the feeling nothing beats having an actual copy in your hands but when you are poor like me I have to endure with reading online. + I don't own a tablet so yeah. I just lie on the floor with my PC. If I lie in my bed it will def. overheat. I get what you mean.

Well being open minded is a good thing whether it being about food, people or genres. you never know you might like some things you thought you didn't!~ ^^)/ If you ever need recommendation for something feel free to drop me msg. Yup, yup! I am very much so an anime lover, which is why I've been trying to get more into manga and light novels lately. /.\

Fortunately, my laptop doesn't seem to have any issues with overheating, even if I do use it in bed, which is where it's at about 90% of the time! It does get a little warm, of course, but nowhere near hot enough to be concerning. The main vent isn't on the bottom like older laptops I've had and is instead placed on the side so it doesn't get covered up easily. c:

From past experiences with different sites, the whole site is usually down while doing maintenance so I guess I thought it was a bit strange that everything else seemed to be working fine. I'm still unable to set an avatar, it seems. :/

Still no luck with the avatar, it seems. When I go to my settings and choose the image I want and click "Save Changes", the tab says "Connecting..." with a spinning wheel for a while (almost a minute) before telling me that Fakku! is down for maintenance. I'm positive that the image I'm using is less than 1MB, so I'm not sure. If I still can't set an avatar by tomorrow, I guess I'll try to contact them through Twitter or something. .-.

what about picture size? maybe if your picture is too big it might be a problem too.

When you go to choose an image, it says "Upload Avatar from your computer < 1 MB", but the image I'm using is much smaller than that (only about 172 KB), so that can't be the issue. Could it be the dimensions? Everybody I see seems to have sorta rectangle avatars while the picture I'm trying to use is much more square-ish. Though I think they'd tell you if there were a dimensional restriction like they do with the size.

Most people I run across seem to use MAL. Back when I realized I would need a better way to track what I've watched and want to watch (I was using Notepad documents beforehand), I ran across Anime-Planet and MAL and chose A-P simply because I liked how everything was laid out there. That's true even more so now that they've had that recent redesign a couple months back. I've been considering making a MAL account to have a secondary backup (primarily to share with those who also use MAL), but I doubt I'd want to keep two separate lists updated.

Haha well it is not like you can't check a user profile from a site you are not signed up in so well I don't think you have to make a MAL. just use the thing that works for you ^^

Well, with A-P, you can "compare" your lists to that of other members and it can show what you have in common and how your ratings compare and all that and I just assumed that MAL probably has something similar. I guess it doesn't matter too much in the grand scheme of things. xD

Yes MAL has something similar (comparing, score, series, taste etc etc), and it has an underside where it compares EVERYTHING and gives you stats for yours and others profiles. MAL also let you see what your friends are watching which I use a lot.. *stalking for good anime*

Other than that MAL has a desktop updater which can update itself when you watch anime downloaded. you don't need to go to the website for updating~ Also often I find that MAL has more "info" then other listing sites. Like director and theme song performer etc. and I like to add music videos and weird specials which I also often only find on MAL. (ofc MAL lacks lot of things too.. manga department.. but well I use another side for manga/DJ ~ ) ^^
