Plus if I use one for too long, my fingers cramp up. And they're usually not powerful enough to do anything besides the basics. >.>
Although I has an OQO, and I lurves it. :D It's small enough that you can type with your thumbs without problems! 8)

You can customize the laptop you want to buy to get whatever you want in it (as long as it's offered, of course.) Otherwise, http://www.newegg.com/ has some nice prices. I'd recommend a HP or Sony. Toshiba's are really good if you can fork out a lot of money, but if you're in the under 1K range, I wouldn't recommend it.

Sony uses sub-par components and sells them at a premium price. Trust Sony with your TVs and audio equipment, but not your computers.
