Anyway, I bet it's not as rare for people in Japan to talk about animanga (I think I read in Wired magazine that 80% of the population reads manga) as it is in the United States ;]

Plus, the people who, in public, rant and rave about the amazingness of animanga here tend to be... different (like that Death Note chick).

I would have yelled "shut the fuck up" as loud as possible and then got all up in her grill and been like, "if I hear another fucking word out of you're fucking mouth, I swear, in front of all these people, I will gouge your fucking eyeballs out only so much that can still see so you can watch me as I strip the flesh from your fucking bones.

Although, I doubt I'd be in that type of position because I really don't like people. When I'm in public I usually try to avoid talking to people and try to make them feel as if they should avoid talking to me.

Hmmm... True... I guess there really is no better defense than to tell them to shut the fuck up or you will cock slap them and just hope they aren't masochists...

Something similar happened with me recently.

I was at an uncle's birthday party and there were only a bunch of old people, so I look for my cousin and start talking with him, then his friend arrives and everything is okay. But then my cousin tells his friend that I like anime and hell began, he started talking to me about Naruto and how awesome it was and told me the whole fucking story. I never want to see that person again.

Maybe if I actually knew what she was talking about. But I didn't. And I had never said a word about anything like that in public.

That's just... Yeah... Death Note's good, but there comes a point when you can kill it.
