Any Portable Media Player recommendations?

Well now that the national rebate is finally coming, i need to spend it on something, so i wanted to buy a PMP, but the thing is i can't decide on what to get.
I had my eye on the Creative Vision W for a few months, but i was wondering if anyone else owns it or has another type of PMP that they like and would recommend it.
But basically, i wanna put some anime on the player so i can watch it on there and s-video onto the tv sometimes. Of course it should also be able to play music too or that would be a shame.
Any comments will be helpful in making my decision

I am not really sure what you should use for a PMP. Although, I must say that the Creative Zen Version W does seem nice. Also, it has a fairly large screen for a PMP. Other than that, an Asus eee UMPC might be good, but it is probably more expensive than the Creative Zen Version W.

oh sorry i guess i kind of said something wrong.
PMP(portable media player) basically is the same thing as an Mp3 player that well hosts all media, or at least thats how i define it. Sorry for the confusion.

I seriously recommend The Creative Vision W. I've got The Creative Zen Vision:M it has many functions and have better video formats and quality than a IPOD Video.

I'll vouch for anything made by Creative. I have a Creative ZEN Nano and it's great. It only does music, but it's still the same company.

hmmm so you guys have zen players too huh, well just to say i already have the Creative Zen V, which is pretty ok.

Hmm i almost spend my paycheck on a lousy PMP but after reading this thread i am thinking about switching target cuz what i wanted to go for before this was just an ordinary MP4 player... now i am getting greedy but still anyone need headphones cuz i got one lol...

Creative takes special care in their portable line, from CD players, to todays fancy doowhatsits. I've owned a slew of MP3 and video players over the years, and creative has served me well. I have to replace mine soon as well, but with all the fancy phones out these days, I might just pick up an iPhone.

i myself have a zenV plus its very user friendly (4 gig)and a Archos - 705 WiFi Portable Multimedia Player with 80GB Hard Drive (BOOK) as for my wife she has a 30 Gig Zune and even though its a brick she likes it the zen is my fav and the Archos while it is a monster,a jack of all trades can be a little over whelming at times, had a Ipod and gave it away while ok i can't follow in the ipod crusade out there, just shop around find your style

I personally use a Meizu M6 SL 8gb for all my media needs (mainly MP3).

A PSP would be the best way to go.
And if you do get one, there's sites like Anime on PSP (Currently down), for instance, that already have anime compressed and ready for playing.
Another tip is you should buy a Pre-hacked one, so you can Download .cso's and .iso's :D. And it saves + veiws images too.

i like the idea of the psp, but i don't think i'll be doing much gaming on it, and well i don't think i want to deal with memory sticks also.

I've been using a PSP as a pmp, and it has been a really pleasant experience. It's got your basic media support, plus some internets, skype, RSS, and a few games while you're at it. Also, if you get a PS3 in the future, a PSP can talk directly with a PS3 and get all of the media a PS3 has access to, as long as you have an internet connection. So if my PS3 can find an episode of anime on my comp, I can watch it anywhere on my PSP. Decent setup overall too.

Well considering that i already bought the vision, i don't need anymore help on buying the PMP, but i guess if someone else out there is having trouble figuring this out, they should read this topic then.

I'm in love with the touch screen model. Getting one in 3 days. lol X_X OMG SO SEKSY.
$223 for an 8gb at best buy. I don't care. I have to have it. Theres the non touch screen one, which is a LOT cheaper.
