Apple Magic Mouse

Sounds awesome, however not for gaming. I really want to get this mouse just to play with it. I probably wouldn't buy it, but nevertheless I am very impressed with out technologically advanced it is.

True, I'd be tempted to find out.
But with the gimmicky thing they've done with the touch pad on the Macbooks people hardly use it or half the time just use a mouse to work with.
I'll probably end up giving it a shot at the Mac displays at JB or the local Mac dealer :P
But for gaming it doesn't look practical at all.

This is a hard gimmick.
The way they have designed at marketed this, i have no idea what type of market they are trying to appeal to or even if their is a decent market out there apart from the fanboys they could make profit in.
It looks good on paper but unfortunately, it will never work in the real world. The price of the mouse will never appeal to household or work places and the ergonomics and design make it no good for computer gaming either. With these two markets out of the picture their is no liable market for which Apple could pursue profit in or fall back on to support this product.
Its good they are pushing boundaries and innovation, but their efforts will be for naught. Its just not practical and doesn't have any appeal past the "oooh apple" and gimmick stage.
