Awesome/Epic Mecha Fight you have watched

So, we have watched mecha anime and played mecha games. I'm pretty sure there are scene/cutscene that kinda makes you go 'Wow, that is so damn epic!'. So list the mecha fight that you find awesome and don't forget to mention where they are from. Oh, and the mecha name too. You do remember their name right?

Ok right now the one that I can think of is the fight between Setsuna and Ribbons. The fight between 00-Raiser and Reborns Cannon/Gundam. Of course in the fight we also see the return of crazy Alleluyah and Lockon giving his best fighting against the innovator. Its a crazy 3 vs 3 fight and its awesome seeing the two pilot, Setsuna and Ribbons still able to concentrate on the other suits. And the last fight is damn epic as it gives homage to the UC gundam especially one that relates to Amuro Ray.

I have to agree with you on the 00 battles. On a side note, I also find the Anubis vs. Jehuty battle cool but not epic level. The YF-21 vs X9-Ghost dogfight is damn good, best Itano circus scenes imo.

Damn near every fight in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, it's even better if music starts because you know there's going to be one hell of an ass-kicking.

AND ESPECIALLY the final battle, holy shit.

I agree, the fights in Gurren Lagann are epic its hard to choose one.



Anubis and Jehuty battle is good but I can't remember if there is any cutscene of them fighting and the YF-21 vs X9-ghost is from Macross Plus right?

Gainax really likes big mechas and big battles from Gunbuster to Diebuster then TTGL. XD

Like Lockon said, Setsuna and Ribbon's fight was downright epic. The retro fight between Exia and 0 Gundam was just pure amazing. It was definitely a homage to the original Gundam with 0 Gundam representing the RX-78-2, Ribbon's VA, and the beam saber stance. Though Marina's monologue was unnecessary and I wish that could have been cut.

Domon's and Master Asia's last fight was also epic. That fight screamed badass.

These two are what I considered true Gundam vs Gundam fights.

That especially. So damn GAR.

I'd have to say the final fight between Kira and Rau(Freedom vs Providence) that fight was perfect in every way, shape and form.

yeah, I have to admit, that final clash really had my heart pumping at the time. im thinking its mostly because of flay's involvement...

Epic, wait...actually the whole series & OVA itself is an EPIC WIN, HIKARI NI NAREEEEEE!

Gurren Lagann vs. Lazengann in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Also the final fight in the end of the series too, this series really have LOT of epic mecha fights.

God Gundam vs. Master Gundam in G Gundam
Epic....no other words needed also manly tears were shed. LOOK! THE EAST IS BURNING RED! :cry:

Nu Gundam vs. Sazabi in Char's Counterattack
Epic final fight between Amuro and Char; one of the most epic moments in UC Gundam history.

Impulse vs. Freedom in SEED Destiny
FUCK YEAH! Go Shinn, go! Not really epic, still it was awesome.

Exia vs 0 Gundam in Gundam 00
Gosh, even if it already mentioned. It would be a sin to not mention this EPIC moment.

That's all I can remember for now....

I swear if any other characters from other Gundam series saw this fight, they be scared shitless.

Oh fuck yes I was screaming for joy when Freedom blew up. Then that other thing happened... This wasn't an epic battle imo but rather "enjoyable".


Definitely homage to the original Gundam. Also showed lots of symbolism how Setsuna returned to his old Gundam and forced to destroy the Gundam that saved his life and the one who he idolized.

For large scale battles I guess these would do:

UN Spacy vs Zentraedi Main Force

Earth Fleet + Gunbuster + Jupiter Bomb vs Alien Horde

For Epic lulz:

Captain Taylor's Fleet vs Ru Baraba Dom's Fleet

Sousuke vs Gates. Hell, the armslave fights are parodied in Haruhi XD. That's got to say something about the epicness. >.>

Gundam 00 battles were good, but all I have to say is exia vs double zeta vs sazabi vs X gundam in Gundam vs Gundam nya~

That must be one crazy battle. I'm yet to play the game....

wait for gvsg next + to come out. It has 00 raiser and unicorn gundam plus a bunch of others nya~

Destiny vs Strike Freedom
No, not the Flawless Victory, I'm imagining an alternate Destiny where Kira and Shinn were both developed (or redeveloped) into sympathetic heroes, a la Super Robot Wars Z, given well-grounded and legitimate reasons to hate each other while maintaining all of their heroic qualities and then meeting in an apocalyptic confrontation at the end of the series. Imagine the sheer chaos and desperate atmosphere of SEED's Kira/Rau fight, then add in the two most powerful Gundams in the series... imagine Destiny giving "lol, overpowered" Strike Freedom the fight of its' existence, try to picture what that sort of battle would look like... yeeeesssssss, it's epic isn't it?

No it's not epic. More like a lame battle. Kira's plot armor will still be there still rendering him untouchable...
