Uhhh I cant remeber anymore.

I hated the other cartoons which looked like they took no effort to make, and looks stupid. Stuff like sealab or something like that. Its like, lets make something up quick in 5 mins and air it and make free monies!

But thing was, the poor animation required the show to rely more heavily on the humor rather than special effects. Shows like Space Ghost didn't have any cool animations or digital mastery to them, just plain simple humor. I do understand where you're getting at though, cause AS saw the popularity boom of having poorly drawn and animated shows and decided,"hey, the fact that our animating skills were horrible must be why people like it, let's mass produce a slew of shows that have no aesthetic appeal." That's when we started getting shit like 12. oz Mouse and Squidbillies, which had no amount of the humor present in the shows before. Some even used dry humor, or relied on racial stereotypes to get a cheap laugh a la Carlos Mencia style. When I saw Minoriteam for the first team I thought,"This shit is so funny!", until I realized that the same racial jokes were used over and over again, only presented in different ways.


tl:dr

Old shows had crappy animation but were funny, new shows have crappy animation and are not funny.

Honestly, I like Squidbillies and Minoriteam. They're the type of shows that one episode you'll like, then the next one you hate, the next one is alright, and etc.., basically each time an episode airs its a hit or miss type situation. I get what you mean about the dry humor and recycling of racist jokes, but sometimes it works.

Those are their best shows. Too bad they lost the rights to Trigun, sigh, that was the best anime ever.
