i dunno about a Katana but i'll try hooking u up to one of my sources to get u 1 , but if ur talking about bouken i definitely know where to get 1 (and yeah Malaysian here)

I cannot quite help you out there on japan as for the fact i've never been there before.

But i heard that they don't really use western toilets, but instead, use the toilets on the floor. However some places still got western toilets.

I hate to spoil the mood, but I believe this thread should belong to the Travel and Culture section. However, after speaking to some users via PM recently, such as Waar, I will leave the topic here for another couple of days, so that it can get more useful responses, before moving it to the appropriate section.

It is somewhat unfortunate (or fortunate, depending on how you see it :D) that your trip falls in September; a couple of weeks earlier and we could possibly meet up during Comiket 76. Yes, I am still standing by my initial plan, if anyone remembers, though there are a couple of obstacles hindering my path.

You may not understand Japanese, hence your reluctance to purchase hentai doujins and such. Nonetheless, there are quite a number of beautiful artbooks for you to purchase. And if you are a fan of Japanese music, there should be plenty of albums available, including anime-related ones. Of course, one can argue that these albums can found on the internet, but it never hurts (much) to support your favourite seiyuu or artiste every once in a while.

Lastly, being the self-proclaimed resident oppai mousepad collector, you know what I am going to recommend. :D

Does anyone ever visit that section even?

I know I do, though my responses over there are few in numbers, since I never had the opportunity to travel much, even up till now. Like what you (and other members) have mentioned, some sections are far less popular compared to others, so instead of shunning them, we should at least try to stimulate activity or discussion in these areas. :)

Well Gambler there are a few reasons I posted it in this section. One being that this section has a lot of activity and I thought I'd gain a lot of beneficial replies here, Which I did. Another reason being the fact Users like Waar have also posted similar threads in this section. But Thank you again for allowing this thread to remain in this section for a few more days.
Now onto Japanese matters, I am quite disappointed that I won't be there long enough to experience Comiket76 first hand. Though I might be able to see it, cause I'll be in Japan from the 20th of September till 4th of October But It's a school exchange So I can't control how long I stay there. On the Japanese doujins and artbooks, I've already considered Doujins, But not yet with Artbooks, So putting that up on my Shopping List. And the CD's that will definitely be put into consideration, I figured I should at least support those excellent Japanese Singers a little bit. And the Oppai Mousepads, If I find them I will buy them~

May be off topic a bit but you could check out the street racing scene if you're into cars. It's better than any Fast & Furious film believe me. Whether it be highway battles or street drifting, it's not hard to find once it gets dark. Check out a place called Daikoku Futo if you're interested. You'll find plenty there.

anyway for you Zai...I think everyone already told you all to-do list and your shopping list for there. Not mean to ruining the fun, but you must aware of your financial (aka money) too don't waste it all just for fun. One more important issue is you are outsider in someone else country, so you better try to adapt with things there, don't let your guard down because you didn't know what threat you had there.

I know, these are all if I can buy/do it wisely/safely, then it's a go.
