blow me...

my powersupply blower is spinning slowly... is this bad? should i get a knew power supply? how can i turn off the blower? reply asap anyone.....:((

You wouldn't want to disable the fan anyway cuz the PSU would overheat. Try turning off the computer and see if there's anything the fan's sucked in (such as a piece of string) that would be making it run slowly. If there's nothing in there, you should probably look into a new one.

so that means im gonna open up my power supply?? omg... i havent opened it up since i bought it...if i broke this baby down, im sure im a dead meat... waa... im gonna do it tomorrow... if i dont get online.... its understood whats my problem is...

if u can't buy a powersupply blower
how about u take off the case off your CPU or put a fan near to your CPU
so it wouldnt overheat or maybe something has stuck on your fan or maybe the blower need a little grease or something.......

Blow the sucker out with an air hose or a can of compressed air. My dogs make my house dusty quick so its like a monthly ritual to go out into my garage and blow it out.

can you describe the sound a bit more precisely?
is it "pulsating", "humming" or does it sounds like you have a "rat in the computer"(quote from a friend)

and which company manufactured your psu? if Ace, then you are totally screwed.

how many watt is it?

and one last question, what do you have in ths computer?(specs) because the most common sound related psu problem is that you try and use more power than the psu can give, fan/"blower" speeds up, breaks, and a couple of weeks later the psu goes BOOM and you computer is suddenly burning.
