Ya >_> we managed to get me a pillow from royal pillow or w/e and even got it made bigger and it still feels like it lacks filling. Time to seriously just look and fork out some serious cash.
I must ask though, are they really 80$ pillows? Or are they just a normal pillow that costs 80$ for some dumb reason ?_?
Which is why I cannot recommend using almost any foreign pillows. I do not know why can't of material that is used for the skin of the cover however, the filling is too little for it to be nice on a cover. And bigger pillow doesn't really mean much if the filling is insufficient.
While Dream Master is the best choice, it's more expensive then A and Js and only comes in a 1.5m x50cm configuration. Otherwise I would love to buy one to use.
A and Js should be have a decent amount of filling without having the feel you're hugging a log.
As for your 80 dollar question, the more expensive the pillow typically means the filling of the pillow is of a higher quality.
Now I'm gonna name a few reasons why not only expensive but a more worthy investment in a long run. Typically, all humans will sweat even at night to maintain body temperature. While I'm not sure how many of you experience this but have you seen your normal pillows turn yellow after a period of time. Thats because sweats sinks into the cloth and when it dries it leave that yellow stain.
Now A and Js uses Anti Bacterial Smooth Knit for the outer layer of the pillow which means it will prevent almost any stain caused by sweat, bacteria or body oils.
The filling for them is Silicon Polyester which is pretty expensive by the way.
The silicon in the cotton helps to stiffen them which helps prevent the filling from collecting dust and as well as making it more resistive to bacteria and mould.
Furthermore it is hypoallergenic which means you most probably won't get any allergic reaction from it as well(If you happen to have sensitive skin).
Lastly, another advantage is that silicon polyester fibers clump together which means they keep their form better then cotton does.
The only disadvantage is that if the filling gets stain somehow you'll gonna find it ridiculously hard to clean the filling, though that should not be a problem if you don't eat or drink while near your pillow.^_^
I hope this helped.
