Simple enough of a question to those of you that do drink, dp you drink around your family?
I do occasionally, my parents disapprove. But I'm 21 I make my decisions to do so and if I do I buy my booze. I don't do it in excess Save around a few of my family members(My Aunt Linda, Uncle Leroy, Cousin Joe, my sister and brother inlaw)

Yes, my parents didn't care. They started letting me drink at 17 as long as I didn't get puke drunk or drive anywhere after drinking.

They will only bitch if I drink excessively around them(4+ beers) but the most I ever have is 3 in a night(on a normal occasion)

They allow me to. But they say only light stuff, nothing hard. Though I did try it once. lol, I amost puked with only 1 bottle. :lol:

My parents have been buying me beer since I was 16. I think because of that I've learned to be very reasonable about my drinking. I've never gotten drunk around my parents outside of a party setting (New Years, weddings, etc) and it's basically just that I have a beer with dinner as opposed to totally abusing it.
I drink like a typical University student though just to make that clear. I just try and keep a measure of manners with my family or other situations requiring tact.

The only member of my family I drink around is my mom. If I was to stoop to such a level, I could say that its her fault I started drinking again: Cinco de Mayo, Tequila, long story, but it was my choice. Anyway, she doesn't care when I drink, she just doesn't want me to become a serious alcoholic. Fuck, she even buys me alcohol sometimes.
