Do you like winter? & if you ever deside to visit Yakutsk

I definitely not.
And I'm not talking about your half-assed really warm winter.
I'm talking 'bout that serious one, where i currently live.
Right now is 2:22 A.M and the weather is -47 degrees Celsius with REAAAAAALLY strong wind.


I'm used to that kind of weather but nevertheless, i still hate it.
Anyway, to keep myself warm i wear this things:

Boots like that only with fur inside.(From real leather and fur of course.) Don't forget warm fur-made socks.

My favorite. Double-layered, but still it's important to wear at least one set of warm underwear pants under "upper pants". :)

Oh, don't forget about this thing. Very useful if you want to keep yourself warm.
Don't forget about sweaters too. You'll need it.

Also, your delicate hands probably wouldn't make it in one piece if it is your first time in that kind of cold in some gloves.
Use these or something like this.


For your head that cap will be probably enough

Use your jacket's hood for extra protection from wind.
(Not many people wear "Ushanka's" these days. Even Police Force and Army started to replace them with other kinds of headwear. Also, nobody is wearing Ushanka during spring, summer or autumn. Don't believe Hollywood.)

Almost forgot, to protect your face from wind simple thin bandana will be enough, i guarantee it! Or you can use scarf, and even balaclava.

Well, that's about it. -50 or -60 is not THAT cold, belive me.

Even though I know it sucks, I still wanna say awesome...

I'll visit this place someday.

My favorite kind of weather. That place looks great. Especially if it gives me a reason to wear a scarf.

OK, I live in the southern state of Alabama, the coldest it gets here is like high 20`s, i wouldnt know what to do in weather like yours

I've never experienced such a cold either, but I have lived in fairly cold areas. And I do not enjoy them.

Siberia, huh? Where I live at in Kentucky we're lucky if we see a few inches of snow each winter. I do like the winter we have here, though I imagine it can't compare to how cold it must get in Yakutsk. Even if I wanted to, I doubted I'd be able to visit there.

I like Winter, but I'm not fond of extremely cold temperatures. Anything above negative (Fahrenheit) is okay in my book, but going subzero is a bit much. I also love snow, but not as much as when I was a kid. I would be content on seeing on decent snowfall during the winter season and nothing more, simply because shoveling driveways and sidewalks is no walk in the park. Personally, I think the coldest I've experienced was in the -20 degrees Fahrenheit, so not quite that cold.

Suffice it to say though, winter is much better than summer. I can't stand the heat. I'm uncomfortable if it is above seventy. I'd always rather be cold than be hot. Personally my favorite temperature is the 50s, which is why I'd love to live in Crescent City, California, where the temperature is within the 40-60 degree range all year long. Well, whatever I digress. XD

I personally prefer spring over winter cuz I like the rainy seasons, and I guess it wouldn't hurt to take a trip there one day as long as I have a nice warm place to stay in

Sounds nice. I am suffering 40+C heat atm down here in Australia.



I personally like my temp between 15C and 25C.The only choice I have here is Tasmania, and unless you have 2 heads on your shoulders and born in that state, your not welcome. (and employment isn't great down there eather)

Sometime i hate winter, sometime i don't

the think i hate is that i have to wear to much clothes that i barly can move

I love the cold, much better than the hot. It is much easier to escape the cold than it is to escape the heat.

I love winter but alas so. cal doesnt get snow that often or in some cases its rare and usually i can go out in the middle of the day with pants and a shirt htough i kinda dont feel comfy in pants to i stick with wearing shorts :D

I'd love to live in a place with really strong winters, rather than this docuhe-filled place of San Diego.

Friends we just got a foot and a half of snow over the past 2 days and it is minus 42 degrees Celsius but 52 with the wind and it's 5:30 pm where I live. 2:30 in the morning here it's about 53 degrees below zero.
This is probably the last snowfall for a while around. Because it's coming to that time where the gets so cold the snow flakes SHATTER before the hit the ground.
That's right. Where I live every year there is a lengthy period of time when it is actually to fucking cold to snow.

I would have more thought GRU actually.

I hate winter and the cold. Not only is it not comfortable, all the girls are bundled up tighter than a bank vault.
