Do you prefer subs or dubs?

Subs never Dubs

I don't mind dubs (as stated before you do find out faster that the same voice actors are used very often) but I prefer subs.

Lately I've been almost exclusively watching subbed anime, simply because the series I watch aren't available in English yet. And yes, there are a lot of cases where the subbed version is better than the dubbed, like Naruto, but there are also cases where the dub is more enjoyable, like Dragon Ball Z (Funimation or Ocean, but not AB Group or Speedy).
However, when it comes to hentai I exclusively watch subs. I've seen a couple of dubs (La Blue Girl being my main example) where the voice acting is just too bad for it to be enjoyable.

Modern dubbing is far better then it has been, but for someone like me, who had dyslexia, even when the dubbing is mehh it's better for me. I'll still go with sub, but once I heir it dubbed, It becomes really hard to watch it subbed, it just is for me. The biggest point for when I settled on dub preference was after I re-watched a show dubbed, and one episode had been confusing before, was not confusing dubbed. It was probably do to bad subbing that the story for that episode was off.

we souled support our Dubbers, they are probably the anime fans that just hatted the dubbing of old, and set out to do it better.

I have to say obviously subs.
I mean, Dubs are totally horrible most of the times and usually I want to hear things in their original languages be it anime, hentai, movies or whatever.
Original is always the best.

Usually, i think original japanese voices tend to fit the character more (usually). I watched dubs until i found out there was a thing called subs, then i tried both and definitely vouching for subs... Some dubs just sound awful...

The correct answer is "both" with the consideration that you aren't a fan boy/girl of either.

Unless you have some sort of hang up and need to watch subs to be "a legit anime fan" or perhaps only watch dubs because you rather not try something new then you should like both.

The better quality is what I enjoy, whatever is the best to me is what I watch.

Was the voice acting awful, voices not fit the characters, awful lip syncing, and made my ears bleed? Was research not done? Was it phoned in? Ect...

Some animes have that outstanding quality and can be watched either way, sometimes the dub is the better version, lovingly cared for and treated well. Sometimes subs are the only way to go.

As for me I can watch Ranma 1/2 in either language, Sorcerer Hunters? The dub is so bad and the voices don't match the characters, I need a 10 foot pole for the dub. Of course I wouldn't dream of watching Rune Solider Louie. with subtitles, I think the voices fit so well in English.

Of course that's just me.

only show i know i would prefer watching with dubs is Hellsing... and other shows whose setting is in the western world... it's ear rape when you hear European languages being spoken by Asians & it's also ear rape to hear European language speakers speak Asian languages... most of the time unless they are fluent, which is usually not the case in anime

some subs suck sum dubs suck it depends on how good it is and if i can find it in dub or sub but clannad will always be sub

Subs of course.. i love watching anime in its actual language.. japanese just feels so right with anime.. i hate dubs so much ugh... only times i watch anime in "dubs" is when i watch abridged/parody ... but otherwise SUBS ONLY! .. dubs is just horrible ruins the beautiful language with some weird dubbing..

I watch subs because the voice actors are better and I can practice my japanese as well

Because when I hear dubs in my language, the voice actors try to copy the pitch and it sounds annoying and unnatural.
I prefer Japanese with Subs over Dub any day.

Definitely subs. Dubs ruin the anime by adding American voices to Japanese anime.

I voted both, but I'll watch the dub whenever I can get my hands on it because more often than not I get my shit from people who hold the subbed version superior. When it comes to hentai though its subs all the way, the Japanese actors tend to take it much more seriously.

Mostly subs, some dubs are good though.
