I think this demonstrates a difference between men and women that I have never really understood: for most men whether to sell him self is a matter of if he thinks it is worth it financially to him, where as it seems for most women it is tied more to their own self worth and as such can't be measured in money what she would need to sell her self.

What (i think) you are talking about is the necessity to sell your body to survive, something that sadly many people are forced to do.
What I was talking about was the natural apprehension towards selling your own body. If I did it and someone I knew found out, I might be embarrest and they might lose some respect for me, but in the end it would not be a big deal for me. As I see it then often selling your body will have a direct influence on your sense of self-worth as a woman, and selling your body seems to be able to basically screw up you whole life.

This difference in the ability to disconnect your actions from your sense of self-worth is what is confusing me.
