I've been listening to Sleep here recently, and I'm now in fucking love with Dopesmoker. Such a great song/album that truly captures stoner metal.
Man, I just saw Sleep last Saturday. They were fecking awesome, easily one of my top 5 shows I've went this year. They didn't play Dopesmoker in full (only parts of it) since it was only an hour show but it was still a brilliant show nonetheless.
Been listening to these bands lately:
Enslaved - Ethica Odini (Prog Black Metal)
Spoiler:
Exhumation - The Apotheosis (Blackened Death Metal)
Spoiler:
Kvelertak - Månelyst (Mix of Death/Rock/Hardcore/Groove)
Spoiler:
and here are some of my favorite bands from Melbourne:
Ne Obliviscaris - And Plague Flowers The Kaleidoscope (Extreme Prog Metal)
Spoiler:
Be'lakor - Absit Omen (Melodic Death Metal)
Spoiler:
King Parrot - Epileptic Butcher (Mix of Grind/Thrash/Death/Groove)
Altar of Plagues - Mammal

Haunting, alternating between slow and fast. Or both at the same time.
Spoiler:
Illdisposed - Near the gates
Death Metal.
Spoiler:
Nordheim - Nightborn
Dont Know what to make of this... Like it, a bit, but the drummer seems to be on his 3rd barrel of absinthe. 'a bit' out of tempo. Or is it just me?
Spoiler:
Nordheim - Beyond the howling north
More out of tempo madness.
Spoiler:

Nekrogoblikon - No one survives
A goblin in love with a porn star, but she's in love with his dickysh co-worker(NTR FEELINGS lol). So he drinks, smokes, start dancing to techno, then he gets angry and starts bashing him. The lyrics and video have nothing to do which each other. The lyrics could be on the OST from Fallout.
Spoiler:
Twelve Foot Ninja - Mother Sky
An 'Reggae Metal' band, with a djent-ish thing. Interesting.
Spoiler:
Ensiferum - Deathbringer from the sky
Folk Metal about a dragon attack.
Spoiler:
Battlesoul - Songs of our heroes
Folk Metal about vengeance.
Spoiler:
Battlesoul - Wolf
Folk Metal about a silent sword. jk. a bit.

Finally, other than it being awesome, the song's name is questionable...especially since this is a Hentai site ;).

Sadly America will probably get it by the 21st. Off this album, Cthulhu is one of it's best tracks imo. (HP Lovecraft Reference = Awesome)

It should be out tomorrow, I'm going to the local music store to try and pick up a copy. I love Stu Block as their singer, much better fit for the band than Ripper Owens was. Their last album Dystopia was easily my favorite one since Horror Show.
Spoiler:
Metal Ballad awesomeness!

Fuck the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Jethro Tull isnt in it but fucking Abba and Madonna are, its a god damn joke. Another band that should be in it over the plethora of shitty pop acts? Fucking Iron Maiden.

It's sad that Iron Maiden FINALLY got a Grammy Award in 2010. Like, they should have gotten it back in the 80's and 90's. Also, one of my favorite albums from them is Dance of Death.

Meh, the grammys are bullshit anyways, just like all those other major award ceremonies. Just gives the industry and excuse to celebrate how much money they made.
Dance of Death is probably my favorite song by maiden, I dunno what my favorite album would be, I haven't listened to most of them in their entirety.
Might as well contribute to the thread while I'm here, I've been on a power metal kick lately, so here's some of my all time favorites, from some not as well known bands.

Dance of Death is an amazing song and it definitely resonates within all of Maiden's fans, but personally i think their best song is still Hallowed Be Thy Name.

I'd have to agree with you on that. The RRHOF is total BS, however I mention it for the sake of it's name, not that it holds any value anyway. Btw, your power selections were quite interesting, great picks Kiuas and Savage Circus in particular.
On another note, have at these pieces of epicness:

Megadeth - The Right to Go Insane

Tool - Parabola
Spoiler:
Epica - Burn to a Cinder
Spoiler:
Nightwish - The Poet And The Pendulum
Spoiler:
Dream Theater - Octavarium
Spoiler:
X-Japan - Art of Life
I actually have something to say about all the songs/bands you linked so I'll just go through them one by one lol.
I've honestly never been huge on Megadeth, they have a few songs that I really like, but I never got super into them.
Tool and X-Japan are two bands that I've been meaning to listen to more. I've often been told this band - Deadsoul Tribe sounds a lot like Tool, might be worth a listen.
Spoiler:
Ah Epica, one of my all time favorites, I've seen them live 4 times, and own almost their entire discography. Here's one of my favorite songs by them.
Spoiler:
Glad you aren't a Nightwish hater, Dark Passion Play was a fantastic album. Anette received way more hate than she deserved as their singer. I think she did a good job.
Spoiler:
Still it'll be interesting to see how the next album turns out with their new singer.
And last but not least, good old Dream Theater. Octavarium is a great song, but Change of Seasons has got to be my favorite. I listen to it while I'm falling asleep sometimes, something really soothing about it to me.
Spoiler:
I'm sure you've heard of my favorite band, Symphony X, if you're linking Dream Theater! SO EPIC HHNNNGGG

I think Megadeth is an acquired taste. I can see how Deadsoul Tribe can seem to sound like Tool, but damn i think Tool is just on another level. They are straight-up amazing, definitely give them a little more of your time woooot. Epica and Nightwish are 2 of my favorite symphonic metal bands; i was extremely disappointed to see Anette go. But yea, this new album will be interesting... Symphony X is real awesomeness, their music is definitely one of greatness. It's kinda hard for me to pick my favorite song by them but i do think their best album is Paradise Lost.
Heres a pretty awesome band which came to an early after their front-man was killed:
Spoiler:
Woods of Ypres - I Was Buried In Mount Pleasant Cemetery
Makes me now wonder if he was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery...
Which is better? The Original of The Cover, i personally lean towards the former.
Spoiler:
Iron Maiden - Hallowed Be Thy Name
Cradle of Filth - Hallowed be Thy Name

I actually prefer the Cradle of Filth version, strangely enough, I only like 4 or 5 songs by Cradle, and its one of them. Another one I really like
Spoiler:
As for Symphonic metal, Epica is surely my favorite symphonic metal band, number 2 is a tough call though, there's alot of great bands.
Didn't know Iced Earth had a new album, forgot to keep up to date with them after Dystopia. :P However, I'ma have to bring up some bands, too. :3
This is band I recently got hooked on. :3
Machinae Supremacy - Indiscriminate Murder is Counter-Productive

Spoiler:
This is one of the few American Death Metal bands I enjoy. :3
Across the Sun - Before the Night Takes Us

Might as well mention Jon Schaffer's other band with his friend Hansi Kürsch (singer for Blind Guardian). The song I will link is also a song based on Stephen King's Black Tower series, which most of the album it is from is based on.
Demons and Wizards - Terror Train
Thrash Metal?

Now, to just make an honorable mention band, Ten Masked Men, a Death Metal cover band. I find them both good and hilarious. They've covered songs like "Message in a Bottle", "Thriller", "Beat It", "I'm Blue", "Eye of the Tiger", etc.
Ten Masked Men - You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)
Melodic Death Metal
Spoiler:
Long post, but lots of metal and wanted to make it easy to read, hopefully I was able to introduce some bands here. ^_^ I had more, but I figured I'd only mention bands that were not mentioned previously.
To keep this thread alive, I'm gonna add someone I've been listening to quite a bit lately: Panopticon. This guy blends bluegrass into black metal in unexpectedly great ways with his latest two albums: Kentucky (2012) and Roads to the North (2014), with the latter being one of my favorite albums this year. I highly recommend listening to both albums since you can get both for like twelve bucks on BandCamp.
