bleh seeing as we all speak english (for the most part) planning this for the United states or Canada would probably be our best call; I believe the majority of our forum user base is American.

i don't know about the condition in the states,but i heard japan,prior to the shibuya shooters case,(where guys crossdress and wreaks havoc)the cosplayer are limited to cosplay at the designated areas.
yoyogi park,harajuku,and the comiket site is some of the designated areas.
out of those areas,the police barks.

I think in the states u can do it anywhere but i'd only do it at a con cuz dressing like a girl is hard work(fake boobs, makeup, shaving everywhere, and wearing a girdle for hourglass figure).

I thought he / she was implying that they were going to crossplay as a marine. And I was implying that there are laws about dressing as a police officer or member of the military. Maybe I just mis-interpreted that. :?

Shit I totally forgot about this thread and missed out on a lot...
I agree since it would save me lots of money if it were in states or Canada. XD $3000 seems like a lot of money... I mean it's worth it, but with college and shit, not happening soon... There are anime/manga conventions here so...
