I think it falls more under the category of too young to understand then being brave and responsible. What's he going to do? Get a job? Child labor laws won't let that happen.

Heat up some milk to feed the baby? He's too short to use the oven. Change the babies diapers? He might do that the first time but that won't last long. Wake up during the night to take care of it? I don't know about him personally but your average 13 year old wouldn't get up at 2:00 am if the house was on fire (joking of course).

I doesn't think the kids realy gotten hold of what having a kid is, he probaly just sees it as a game of some sort. And I'm pretty sure that his parents or other adults is going to take care of the baby until the kid is old enought to take real responsibility for it.
