Favorite Gundam Series

What is your favorite Gundam series so far? The movies and OVAs will not be included because the list would be too long then.

all gundam series directed by tomino himself, and Gundam 00

Actually no Tomino directed Gundam, Zeta Gundam, Gundam ZZ, Char's Counterattack, Victory Gundam, and Turn A Gundam. In the ops of every Gundam series, it says: Original Concept By Yoshiyuki Tomino because he was the creator of Gundam in general. Everything else were directed by someone else.

oh, I mean I like gundam that tomino directed, although ZZ is kind of messed up in beginning and Victory is too gloomy and tomino himself say to peoples not to buy the V Gundam dvd....
but Z Gundam is rocks because I watched it I'm in depression about a week
do the manga series or novel counted too? I like some gundam manga like Crossbone too

Zeta Gundam is the best. There is no room for argument.

ZZ Gundam was a really good series that had some big flaws that popped up every now and then. The beginning of the series was strange and took some getting used to, but once it started, it was great. Except for the two fucking about moon people or whatever. When I saw them, I thought, "There's filler in my Gundam!" But the show was a lot of fun, and it still stands as the Gundam series I have watched the quickest. Every day after I downloaded it, I would watch at least four episodes a day, often more. It was so easy to watch.

For my previous Gundam favorite I would choose Zeta Gundam and for the more recent, I choose Gundam 00. Zeta Gundam got me hooked up because of such a dramatic opening where Kamille's parents just got killed so early in the series and the ending was just awesome, fucking bloodbath. I enjoyed seeing Kamille's character develop (much better than Shinn Asuka whereas his main character role was pretty much thrown away in GSD) and for Char Aznable, can you say badass? Man he rocks in the Hyaku-Shiki. I would have like it if he came back for Gundam ZZ but yeah.

For more recent, I choose Gundam 00. The beginning in the first season was slow but at episode 15, it started to really pick up and man I just had to watch more. Everywhere the story goes there's a plot twist and just unexpected but badass events (like Ali when he single-handily took out the Trinitys and stole Gundam Throne Zwei, and made much better use of it :twisted: ). The second season although not finished yet, the events leading to the conclusion is getting really good and I'll just leave it at that. I mean when the first episode aired, I stayed up till 3 in the morning just to watch the raw file, and I gotta say, it was worth it 8) . If the ending for 00 becomes epic, my rage for the shitty ending for GSD will be cured. (or at least become a pain killer)

yeah 00 is made me regain hope in gundam series, oh and gundam x is fine too imo it's one of the best alternate-universe gundam series too bad it's doomed...

I really like Mobile suit Gundam the first one and also Zeta, X and Wing and yeah also liking 00 now

after giving it a very long, hard thought, i decided to go with 00 =p

Man, all you guys have said makes me want to watch 00. I would have before now, but I've been waiting until the series was completed so I wouldn't have to wait for new episodes every week. I may have to change that and just start watching it.

Well its almost over so it really wouldn't hurt to go watch it now. I don't know why Gundam X got such a bad rep. It's a good series. I much rather prefer that over GSD.

maybe because it's aired after gundam wing, gundam 00 is a good show but character design is bit "pretty" ,well it's because the designer is same from loveless...

I just looked into it. Gundam X's time slot was moved from a Friday afternoon to a Saturday morning. Apparently no one had time to watch it because of school so ratings declined.

hm...but I think they go in school in 08:00 AM in Japan...or maybe people just lazy to wake up early just to see anime, gundam series is not suited in morning...well at least I still have gundam x series in my favorite game

What, no 08th MS Team? No 0083: Stardust Memory? No 0080: War in the Pocket? People should have more of an appreciation for the classics. :)

I posted earlier that I wouldn't include OVAs in this poll. 08th and the others were very good too.
