Oh god, you should be ashamed at yourself! Having to resort to MSG to make your food taste good.
TBH, the less ingredients in fried rice the better. You don't want to overload it with meat, spices, herbs etc.
I use soya, oyster sauces with salt sugar and some potato starch (the starch gives in a nice texture and stops the rice from clumping together.) Now for the sides that i mix in i usually use some kind of meat whether it be chicken, pork, beef etc, and some chopped vegetables. I sometimes add an egg also depending on how i feel.
Remember people it's
fried rice, not fried meat and vegetables mixed with rice and sauce. You people seem to think that the importance of the dish is the sauce or the sides mixed in, which is a big no no. Fried rice should never have any sauce at all, flavor yes, sauce no. This is because the sauce tends to dominate the rice, where the rice is suppose to be the dominant feature of the dish.
