Ramsus is right about everything.
STICKY.
Jacob, I highly respect you, and you created an amazing corner of the internet and community in Fakku.
However, if you agree with Rasmus, you have more power than anyone to actually make something happen. I think we have seen that change is not going to come from the bottom up just because of stickied appeal threads. What number is this in the count?
Enforce the existing rules reliably and without bias. Is lollollol12 going to be allowed to always post in ALL CAPS and pretend to be racist for shits and giggles because he has established himself and a lot of people think he is funny while others will be censured for the same behavior? Either it is acceptable or it isn't. There should not be selective enforcement. This goes for all the behaviors that members of Fakku have been troubled by and debated the acceptability of.
Jacob, Fakku is your creation and your vision, and ultimately, you can decide what kind of forums you want these to be. If you want Fakku to be a place where no one is censored, fine, it's a noble goal. But then we have to accept that people are going to take advantage and abuse that fact. They will flame, troll, post obnoxious rants, and do whatever else. The price of complete freedom of expression is that everyone else can also say whatever they want, even if that turns out to be calling your mother a whore and your culture and ways a blight upon the earth.
Above all, Jacob, I would love to hear you clarify your vision for the forums. Make a statement. Tell us your vision and what you are going to do or not do to bring it to life. Then, follow through. No matter what is done, the end result will always see some members lost. Some people would probably leave if more moderation forced them to stop their antics. Others will probably leave if things continue the way they are because they don't enjoy being insulted or reading about constant forum "drama." Still, I think the clarity would be good for the health of the forums overall.
