I consider myself to be atheist. I don't like being warped by religion.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say a combination of massive head trauma, very strong hallucinogens, and persistent sleep deprivation.

I've made it clear in the past that I despise Haruhiism. Everytime I hear anything about it, my hand involuntarily balls up into a fist. Initially I hated it because of the the incessant prattling about it whenever I went anywhere anime-related. As opposed to what everyone said, watching it didn't do much for me. It was an average series, but the fact of the matter is that both it and Haruhi are nothing special and there damn sure isn't anything worth worshiping.

There are a lot of religions that hold Jesus to be God. However, its just a misinterpretation as are a lot of other perceptions. I think the best work ever written about Jesus is Paramahansa Yogananda's The Second Coming of Christ.

That's merely my baptism when I was an unknowing baby without any form of will or judgment. I actually do find a lot of questionable teachings from the Bible itself. I just grew up believing anyway so it probably stuck with me. I seriously do believe, though I'm certainly different from all those hypocrites who "religiously goes to church every Sunday to pray" and afterwards, acts/do the exact opposite.


I honestly don't have any idea myself... Let's just say, wouldn't it be better if we could refer to God with a name or something? "Jesus Christ" simply is most suitable enough...it's not even hard to remember, right? :lol:

I was raised Christian too, but I'm an atheist now that I am old enough to, you know, think rationally.
I almost got kicked out of the house for saying, "fuck Jesus," despite the fact that my mom and step-dad only remember they are Christians when you mention something related to it.

You know, this raises a question with me.

If god is omnipotent, why must we tell him that we have sinned? Doesn't he already know?

Hell, didn't he know in advance?

And, if he is loving and forgiving, why must we ask for...no, beg is a better term, forgiveness to a sin that he already knew and knows about?

Isn't it better to pray forgiveness for the migraine that a million "Dear God"s per second must cause?

Nah, I don't actively worship Haruhi. I don't hate her, at all, but if I ever meet her in the street, I am going to strangle her in all possible existences of this and any neighboring worlds/universes, including those where I was never born/thought of/imagined/died early/did not run across her that day. Mostly because of the obscene amount of comparisons drawn between myself and her during the airing of the show and for about four months forward. And because she has terrible taste in evil, world destroying giants.

i doubt being an otaku is a religion but i admit it can be seen as one

i think being an otaku is more a way of living

for me otaku is just status that we proclaimed ourselves or the others give to us...
