i don't know about that completely, only the main male character is, all the other guys fit the normal sterotypes of side male chara
i myself being a guy, actually have had a thing for asian women since before i got interested in anime, now after watching anime i still prefer asian women more, but i don't expect more than i did before, i still have the same likes and dislikes as i did back than.

i like tsundere, and it's pretty easy to find aspects of that in rl women...though I dont really get out and look since i work at night and sleep during the day.
i would say that overall it has given me a slightly flawed opinion as to the opposite sex. though i think i am as fearless as any of those guys :twisted:

It's actually lowered my expectations...I can't exactly say why it has. Probably because they are often whiny egomaniacs. Yeah, that must be it. I won't generalize, but it's just that those stick out more somehow, at least for me.
Oh, and don't get me talking about the females in anime.

I do not think so, I think I can seperate fiction from reality rather well and even though I am a nerd I have enough contact with real ladies, in "reality" and on the internet of ours.
Not to mention that many forms of fiction often star idealized women and men, this isn't restricted to anime and manga, although it is very apparent in these medias.

The only effect anime guys has had on me when it comes to guys is I expect them to be more faithful to me because I've seen how dedicated anime guys are to the girls they like. It's kind of a lame exception but meh.

Yes and No.
I don't expect anyone in reality to be in a certain way at all, as behavior mostly depends on the situation, and I don't expect people to openly speak their minds naturally.
However, in my ideal dream world, I certainly wouldn't mind a naturally dominant and determined woman that still for some incomprehendsible reason still needs me.

I agree with Rayne.
It's sorta funny though, I always found the hard ass delinquents in high school most attractive in anime. The guys with their white button ups untucked and their black slacks.
But put me in a room with one of those guys in real life and see how long he lives. I get really pissed off at guys who are assholes and think they're better then someone else.
Also, like Rayne mentioned - I'd prefer someone dedicated, but I wouldn't say that stems from anime. I think that just stems of what a girl wants in general.
And, also - don't get me started on female anime characters as well. It's pretty much concluded that all the females feel the same way about female anime characters.

secondly, no, i dont think anime has increased my expectations, but it has shown me some traits that i do find attractive, although i don't think long pink hair would look as attractive in real life! i kinda think that real life girls are so much more complex than any anime character that you can't relli draw comparisons, and real girls tend to be slightly less forgiving and gentle (at least the ones that i know :roll: )

I'll admit anime/hentait has increased my TASTES in women, but not in expectation. Difference lies in the way I treat people where I give em a benefit of a doubt and keep my expectations low. Anime/hentai doesn't factor into reality, though I will admit I wish there was a girl out there with those qualities... yea right.

physically,i love real guys(of course,duh...a guy with green or blue hair in real life?no thx)...but as for personality,i find that some anime charas' personality really dreamy...(although it's mostly impossible for a real guy to have those traits/personality...)

I think it has somewhat. I mean, in anime you also see the girl's first kiss and all the girls always seem so innocent. I'm 18, who's first kiss am I going to get? I do, however, realize that it's just a fantasy, and so I don't hold the lack of innocence against real women, but it'll always be something in the back of my mind.

well not sure if you increased by expectations but it domn near turned me into a pedophile had a couple of scapes with aiuthourity because of that but luckily my feelings for girls my own age has returned so you shouldn't think too much about anime girls or it could affect you in real life lol

As for me, I still prefer real girl to share my love. Having sex isn't #1 (like I already had sex before...). Anime is just a tool for me to get some reference about romantic scenario and apply that to my real girl. Hahaha...

Yeah anime did increase my expectation of women. Like Belldandy for example or Haruka made me want a perfect in all aspects woman to be my girlfriend. But I know it's impossible, but it just gave me the craving to look for a girl like that in real life.
