Have any of you ever wanted to play a musical instrument?

How many of you have ever wanted to learn how to play a musical instrument but simply haven't had the time and/or motivation? What instrument is it and why? For me I wish I could learn to play the violin. The reasons behind this are: 1.) after listening to many an anime soundtrack, I find the ones that use a violin highly pleasing to the ears, (not that the ones who don't aren't). 2.) I've also noticed that the violin, as well its string family siblings, the viola and the cello, bare many similarities to the human voice in that they can be used to express a variety of emotions from sadness & joy to anger & fear. If this thread is in the wrong section feel free to move it.

Here's my top 3 list:

1. Piano - Played when I was in elementary school, then moved and thereafter a forgotten art.

2. Violin/Viola - The concept for playing a violin is complex yet beautiful.

3. Flute - A real flute not a clarinet, piccolo, or recorder. I want to mimic bird songs.
