hmm, for those "alcohol isn't a drug/alcohol is safer than weed" people, here:
Toxicity of THC. There's an interesting comparison to the safety of alcohol. Legal, yes. Safe, no. at least, not moreso than weed. (THC is the active component in weed). i'm not condoning weed or condemning alcohol. it's just that the argument is invalid. besides, a drug is a substance that has a desired effect on the physiological being (along with thousands of not so desired effects). it's not whether it's legal or not.
anyways, i smoke cigarillos socially, i drink whenever i can afford it (bills and groceries always come first), i smoke weed when it's offered, I smoked salvia once and haven't been able to afford it since, but once i have 20$ loose, I'll get a baggy and some friends together, and i have yet to do mush. I smoke shisha/hookah every time i go down to my hometown. Synthetic crap disturbs me greatly.
I'm glad i'm not alone to have done salvia. Which btw is legal in canada, i don't know about the US though.
the only amazing experience worth telling i had was the first time i took weed. It felt like i was eternally falling forward, but not in a physical way. as if i was falling through myself. i didn't hallucinate it or anything, it's just the sensation i had. otherwise, it just calms me down and makes me more aware of the "big picture" of things. I become a great problem solver when i'm on weed. i think more clearly.
edit
I forgot to mention I've had absinthe. the weak, watered down stuff they sell in Canada, but there's still some wormwood. the only thing i noticed is i felt more whimsical. i want to try the real European stuff.
