Headphones or earphones?

Considering the fact i have skullcandy (pink) headphones i would prefer headphones. but what do u prefer?!?!?

I'm going for the headphone here. For some reason Earphones start to hurt after a while

lol i blame earphones for my hearing loss.

headphones are cool but i can't find a pair i like
earphones are usefuller cos they don't fall off when im on my bike or jogging but they do hurt after a while

well when i use earphones they always fall out and make me look bad...

Defo prefer headphones, but I always use earphones in public. First because they are discreet and doesn't take any space in my backpack when i'm not using them. Secondly because I look really, really weird in headphones.

Headphones. I use them on my mp3 player and the best thing is that it blocks most external sounds, leaving me to enjoy the music clearer and better. Plus, it's easy on the ears - earphones makes my ears hurt after a half-hour or so, and they get yanked easily.

Headphones. I can't stand earbuds. I can't stand anything that lodges in my ear. >.<

Headphones all the way. I only use earphones if at that time I didn't have a headphone

one reason is, using an earphone often will ruin your hearing, and using a Headphones is much more safer and doesn't ruin your hearing as fast as an earphone.

I use both headphones and earphones both have good benefits in different situations but preferably earphones because its lighter and i could forget they are there.

They come with different sizes and they're squishy and not a solid piece of plastic so they're more comfortable too.

I don't like the bulkiness of headphones. When I went to the gym I wouldn't ever use headphones, as they'd get all wet from me sweating from running.

Just remember though, that type of earphones is the most damaging ones from all the types. Use it for max 30 minutes - 1 hour, and let your ear rest. Using it too much will result in deafness. (sorry if I sound like a smartypants)

Hmm, I never knew that. I almost never wear them now because I lost the one size and have to use another size that's a little too small for me and they fall out easily.

My friend did a research, and most of the people that uses earphones (especially the smaller ones that goes into the ear) damages your hearing way faster than people who uses headphones.

I asked him the safe limit is:

Headphones : 1-2 hours
earphones : 30-60 minutes

Skullcandy earphones, the only way to go.

It really depends on how much you turn up the volume. Using in-ear phones you should generally keep the volume lower, or limit exposure.

Personally, I use headphones (AKG K601) for travelling and at home; earbuds (AKG 12P, not the deep kind; those would only hurt my ears) for walking or commuting.
