How did you confess to your present or past Lover?

Considering the Pacific Ocean was between us at the time, I used a mobile phone. (we met on an IRC channel and then at a con later)

I gradually got closer to the person I liked and eventually just plain out confessed when I felt the time was right, it's a way of showing I'm serious about her, hence I do it face to face.

I remember confessing to a guy as we were going home on the skytrain. It was late at night and we were alone. He was my senior and was graduating ... so might as well right? He ended up replying me through a love letter which was really sweet.

But I remember an other ex of mine telling me (after we broke up) that I should be a little less extroverted and more introverted when it comes to love.

What do you guys feel about girls taking the initiative?
ie:
-girl asks you out
-girl approaches you
-girl confesses to you
Does it make you less likely to go for her?

I've been trying to keep it 'introverted' for awhile... but I seem to get hit on/asked out by guys who just aren't my type (I like the introverted type! lol)

Be a man! Ask her on a date already, it is like a confession but it also means "hey, lets see where this goes. If we have a good time we can go on a second one, but we aren't a couple yet so it isn't a big deal."

I've never gone through with any confessions cause I'm a coward like that (also may have to do with the girl already having a boyfriend). I think my best plan that I never implemented was a love-letter I wrote in French- translation included (I was taking French at the time). French+poetry=win in my books, but I would appreciate any comments lol.

There was no hollywood-style big confession drama. By the time my girl-friend and I told each other what we felt, it was merely stating the obvious, for both of us.
But, that's a personal thing I guess, as we both operate to a sizeable degree on more subtle, indirect or even non-verbal clues, which most people are simply too dense for.

Our confession consisted of caveman like expressions and no verbal ques like grunts and snorts. We jumped up and down and slapped the ground while shouting like chimpanizees. Eventually, when he hit me over the head with his club, I understood it was true love.

Actually I wrote a whole story about the real way it happened but that thread is buried somewhere in this section...

On the contrary I'd be flattered and somewhat more likely to go for her (if I do like the person), however I do remain rather careful (as in not rushing).
