How do you feel about spoilers and the people who drop them?

What about in my case, where I actually want to see the anime, but have not started yet?

How could I be at fault for not thinking ahead about it, when i havent even seen any of it? I would be starting the anime already knowing what happens to everyone before I even get to know who they are.

Someone spoiled Saya no Uta for me :( the person didn't put a spoiler tag.

well i for one hate spoilers to the core =P it ruins the story or elements of the story. I for one appreciate cinematography and the art of it, so i like to enjoy what i play/watch the way it was meant to be played/watched, where you dont know ANYTHING at all about what would happen.

But I wouldnt go so far with going emo over it (although i would go emo over someone spoiling CG for me, which thankfully, didnt happen).

But I do have to say ;P my respect level for zak rose, you, my friend, can take hits =P not many people can these days, too many people make a big deal out of everything.

Spoilers. They can be a huge pain, and I can see why people get upset.

However, I don't think that should stop anyone from enjoying the story... What good is the ending if the events leading up to it sucked?

I dont mind spoilers because even if i knew about them,i still havnt seen how it actually went down so it doesnt upset me or anything.Like someone spoiled some character is gonna die and say how he/she dies.

In fact spoilers do the opposite for me.Some provide insight on what I actually missed like the anime Air.

I don't mind spoilers myself, even though I usually try to not spoil things for people out of consideration.
Most things I consume don't really hinge on "what happens", but "how it is being told", thus spoilers are of no grave import to me.

Sometimes they can provide information I want other times I want to strangle those people, pop out their eyes with a crowbar and make them drink bleach.

Bleh, people seem to assume that I don't enjoy the subject because it's been spoiled. I never said anything of the sort, I do however enjoy it less because I know what is going to happen. To those of you who suggested that a reveal might in fact inform me of something I might have missed that is a ridiculous point. If someone says so and so dies it reveals a major plot point that I would have seen myself; for the rest of the show I will watch every scene expecting that character to then die. It ruins all possible outcomes for that character as well (unless the character returns as a ghost), a character can't have a happy end, or his love interest wont blossom and I know it for the rest of the time that I watch the show. Also the conclusion that it is the person who had the subject spoiled for them is at fault as well is ridiculous; how could you even think to suggest such an idea. The fact that you already try to hypothesize about future plot lines doesn't make it alright to have something revealed for you when you could simply determine it yourself over time by watching/playing it. Again, I never said I don't enjoy something after it's been spoiled; I simply know that I enjoy it far less than when I find things out for myself.

I found out that the only way to keep things from being spoiled is to avoid anything that talks about it (if what you are reading/watching is already a bit old) and do not click on wikipedia pages. That and a bit of luck will get you through it. You must be proactive - if you recognize the conversation is going towards a direction that might spoil things then you have to speak up and say "Wait! I've only gotten this far in X anime/manga!"

Otherwise someone will unintentionally ruin something for you.

You can cup your ears with both you hands and say LALA and than run all you want... Its still going to be written on your screen when you come back. lol. Unless you closed the thing before running off lol.

Hate the type you cannot easily predict from the story progress. Thing is it's often me who spoils me in such cases ...
A couple of things were spoiled to me on Fakku and I was obviously pissed (more in general really than at the person who did it) but luckily the stories were epic enough for me to still finish them with a high level of enjoyment.

I spoil tag everything that I deem spoil worthy and don't talk about certain series spoilers if I think it is important. Example is how I do not ever reveal what happens at the end of Clannad. There are somethings that I REALLY want others to be able to enjoy, so even 5 years from now I'm probably still going to be putting spoiler tags on it.

I still try to be curtious about other series that I consider not up to par content wise, but I'm less sympathetic for people who stumble across spoilers. They shouldn't be browsing certain places and expect not to run across spoilers (like reading the comments below the vid streaming or checking out the forums before watching)

glad the majority of you feel the same way (or similar to) as I do about spoilers. I think my reaction to the person is more specifically to the person who does it on purpose or someone who tries to justify the action afterward. "Well it's not that big of a spoiler because so and so" or "It's only an image of the end, it's not a real spoiler unless someone says its a spoiler" are horse shit excuses that do not change what you did and your staunch defense of your actions only serve to agitate the situation.

Same, i hate spoilers, i watch Naruto since i really liked the story after trying it for opinions sake. But then, on youtube one day... MAJOR spoiler, something that would happen not for another 50 episodes was spoiled to me.
To this day i want to find out the fuckers name and put a knife through his throat...

You just have to try to not say any facts or "possibility's" when commenting on these things, if there is no other way, DONT POST.

I hate it whenever I see someone tell a new guy that and shit like that. Not cool.
