I work with a guy in the Air Force reserves and he told me they have the easiest BT out of all the branches.
I would say go for it. It's a good opportunity and it opens a lot of doors. But the military is not for everyone. You can expect a drastic change in lifestyle, and it will probably change you to some degree. But signing a contract is a big commitment. Four or six years may not sound like a long time at first, but if you discover you hate it that contract will seem like an eternity.
Also, you might want to consider becoming an officer if you're in it for the long term. That's where the money is at. And if you're enlisted you can't go past a pay grade of, I think E4, without a Bachelor's degree. Just something to keep in mind.

Just something to keep in mind.Thats not true - you do not need any degrees to get promoted if your not an officer. You just have to have a good record and do well on your test (and volunteer for things a lot). Only thing you'll need a degree for is if you want to be an officer.
Air force is the best way to go. Marines wake up in foxholes to the sound of gun fire. Army wakes up in tents to the sound of a siren. Navy gets to wake up on a boat in the middle of the ocean to a PA system. We get to stay in hotels with swimming pools and get courtesy calls to wake up in time to take a shower before we drive to the office. Thats why the other branches don't like us.

you know if poeple stopped joining the armed forces the world would be a better place really. Less money would be spent on makng sure that your army had the best weapons, less money would be spent on sending you all over the world to kill or be killed and less money would be wasted on funerals and medical care for those killed or injured at war. [this counts for every country in the world that has an armed force.

Seriously, even I kinda feel regret on my decision to sign-on which Army makes me a Scout-Sniper than going to college but that make me sway away from jail for what I had done on my teens nevertheless, as a veteran soldier I will give you two advises:
1."Choose Carefully as It's your choice makes the Future You."
2."Tough time don't last, Tough men Do." -> all up to your mind and willpower.
=I now going for a long paid leave before inform of my decision to carry-on or to retire but trust me, There is always Pros & Cons everywhere & everyhow so choose wise or talk to your parent on this [even my parents encourage me to enlist.....]
