This question seems odd to me.
Love doesn't even exist, it's just an abstract ideal produced by the human mind as part of a larger atempt to grasp to some meaning and to justify under light of emotion the biochemical reactions responsible for relating to other creatures and mating, and is inflated and imbelished by other humans who probably have something to sell.
Any personal sacrafice for it's sake seems like a poor investment to me.

That means that one has to redefine what love is.
Love to me is little more than a deep friendship with intimacy. That is all that it really is.
No angels with trumpets
No bullshit weddings
No awkward dates
It is just a deep emotional connection that can happen between anyone.
Under that definition, the only difference between being in love and being in a romantic relationship is the sex.
Agree'd.
I suppose while love may not actually be real, it doesn't stop people from beleiving they feel it.
And, g-money, I don't particulary care for or about society, but I do understand to some degree that people need to beleive in things to keep from killing themselves. Probably why religion is so popular.
If you think about life entirely logically, it's only real point is to procreate and die, and procreation is futile because you only create another life that is intended to end. So really, there is no reason for life, and to continue on any longer is a waste of time, so we should all collectively die as soon as possible.
But I don't really feel like dieing, so I guess I'm not entirely unemotional, despite not putting beleive in anything that gives a point to life. But really, because I reason this, despite being mostly apathetic, I have a better reason to kill myself than most people who are filled with disphoria.
Maybe I should try beleiving in something.
