Alot less action than i thought it would have, but other than that it was really enjoyable, and the 3D effects were pretty neat too.

My questions are as follows:
1) Where the fuck did this movie come from?
2) Why should I care?

I might go see it twice, the first time with a blindfold on, just to see how much the visuals add to the movie.

I loved it! Sure, the story isnt a mindblowing concept, but the world wrapped around it excellent!

I really hope it continues to do well in the box office, pending its success Cameron has rights and plans to do Battle Angel!

Like I said, it's not bad the story is just very linear and straightforward following the obvious setups and story progression stuff.

As for the McD's stuff, I don't blame Cameron as it's going to be difficult to break even.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and the plot wasn't bad. It was just wasn't highly original.

I honestly thought it had more action then I thought it would have. Really enjoyable, the 3D was better then anything ive seen till now. And frankly, although this sort of world and these ideologies have existed for centuries, this universe Cameron has introduced is very awesome. I especcially like "The People", as I cannot for the life of me remember what their cultures name was at the moment. Also, the sound and ambience were both amazing, very tip-top-top-notch.
Storyline, though predictable( what isnt nowadays?) was very well done and personally I loved it.

Even for the most pessimistic of viewers, You'll be hard pressed not to get immersed into the world of Avatar. 10/10 A must see movie.

Just saw it. Beautiful movie with awesome 3D effects. Story isn't exactly original indeed, but not bad at all. The overall atmosphere and magical world James Cameron has created is truly phenomenal and a pleasure to experience.

Saw the movie in 3D, didn't really care for the 3D but I'd say overall the movie was pretty awesome, still could of used more action but that's just my opinion and also btw wtf with that one love scene? I mean damn there were kids in that theater lol.

Rated PG-13 for intense epic battle sequences and warfare, sensuality, language and some smoking. .

Anyways, went to watch the movie in 3D yesterday. Nothing original but I completely enjoyed it. Still don't understand why they would use glass for their mecha windshields. Cmon, couldn't they used a stronger material? Is the future for god's sakes.

I want a sequel. James Cameron is the director so it could be better than this one.

I loved this movie, the storyline may have been un-original(Pocahantas, Dances with Wolves) but it fit in very well.
The thing that made this movie just amazing, is the 3D effects. I mean the movie was just STUNNING to say the least,

I saw this movie on December 31st. Like others, the plot was fairly simple and cliched from other movies, but the simple plot serves this movie well. Obviously, the visuals were totally way out there, with the fauna, flora, and environment. Honestly though, 3D or Imax 3D didn't impress me much, but I can see where 237+ million dollars were spent in the producing of this movies. The acting was good, but not stellar.

Overall, I'd give this film a 4/5. In fact, it reached over 1 billion worldwide, making it the fifth (and Jame Cameron's second) movie to gross over 1 billion.

Well, i was dissapointed when i saw it. Cameron is a great director of course but... Avatar is so secondary film, imho. The storyline is very simple and predictable. You know what would happen this time and next time, moreover you know the ending. The graphic is very cool, but it's impressed so much as i expected. This film didn't cause any emotions of mine and it's terrible. Epic fail for me(((

The only movies that have ever made me widen my eyes in awe at the special effects were District 9 and this one.

Story was meh. If you're gonna watch it, do so in the theaters to get the whole visual/audial experience or watch it on bluray on your own huge HDTV if you have one.
