shit i used as a temporary avatar at some forum... the full pic is something like mahou shoujo; and it's still crap :P

character design sketch; i could never seem to use her T_T ; i really lack the drive to start something big right now...
[size=8](i was thinking of making an action-RPG or a manga with a bioengineered girl or a manga with a bishounen turned into a hikikomori because he was bitten by a vampire; lol, ideas)[/h]
btw, i was watching Lucky Star around this time, and i got a little influenced by it (Iwasaki Minami anyone?)



practice sketch; i took a liking into Tsukasa from Lucky Star, and maybe it was because of her pose, so i tried drawing those arms like that :P



character design sketch; as you can see, it's a different style compared to the first one on this post; i stuck to one style for her once, but i played around with different ones
the one on the right is supposedly a child version, and the cut-off speech line is "oniichama"
the one on the left is an adolescent version, and the speech line is "oniisama" to emphasize that she has turned from cutesy to quiet


if i find time to search for that little manga i drew out of boredom (i was in class), i'll post it here

I like your work, and I'll keep an eye on this topic (Even if it is my classic lurkers eye)

I fail at anything artistic not involving my keyboard or straight lines because of my perfectionist ways. I see that a line of a skirt is askew, so I get fustrated and redo it. And everytime, it's not perfect. So after around 2 years of trying, I've given up on drawing anything other than geometrical shapes. T_T

(i've been doing nothing but playing old PS1 games these days)
well, he never gave up and he became a blacksmith-swordsman-wanderer like how he wanted to be (damn, that was just geeky of me)

i give up all the time, but i get bored just as much :P


well, i've been drawing the same melancholic pictures again... (oh right, i was bored)... i have yet to rip them off my notebook to get it through my all-in-one hp-office-jet if i want to post it up...

there has always been something wrong with my "sense of symmetry", so stuff that i draw would look weird to me if i flip/mirror the picture






i drew this stuff in a classroom, but everybody else around me was much more shameless and excited than i was

great coloring on the eyes. i wish you'd put as much effort into the rest of it. it'll look great.

btw,what program are you using?

i use Adobe Photoshop CS2
i still have a long way to go but i think i'm learning

[size=10]somehow, i lack patience and somewhere along the way of learning how to draw, i thought that i have to be able to do everything fast, so i get discouraged when i notice that i'm taking my time and not making any good progress[/h]

yeah i had a friend of mine tell me the same thing about my drawings.. that i need to spend more time on them.

i answered that i get bored but he retorted quickly by saying that is not boredom but lack of practice and uncertinty in which areas to tacle next..

so i took his advice to heart and i'm really trying to do a longer peice. try it see how it feels.
