That's exactly why I like Modern actually. It doesn't get absurdly powerful sometimes like Legacy (not that I know much about it, maybe gurall can enlighten me since he plays that format), but there's still SO much diversity in the decks you can build.
At least you didn't say "man all those turn 1 wins"
I would have to punch you then ;)
Legacy is a powerful format, it also has the deepest cardpool (outside of vintage, but no one plays that... interestingly, the power 9 will be avaliable for collecting on MODO within a year, meaning we get to play vintage without paying 10 grand, YAY), it's going to be more powerful than modern because of that.
I would argue Legacy is more diverse than modern but that argument is entirely pointless.
Typically the more powerful the format, the more skill testing it is.
Aren't turn-one wins kinda not possible in Legacy?
Why would it be pointless to say it's more diverse? There is a much larger cardpool.

Hmm... I want to run with my Infect deck in modern but I really hate not having Invigorate...
My Reanimate is definitely Legacy... So no to that...
If I go Standard, My White-Blue will have a really hard time against humans...
My Red-Blue is great as long as no one uses Thalia, the B***h of Tharaben...
EDIT:
Actually, I'm good with my Reanimate deck, (
only lost once) but I highly doubt the shop that I go to would run a Legacy tournament...
Infect made a pretty big splash in Modern, a bunch of Infect decks had high standings during the last Pro Tour. I'm building a Modern Infect deck right now, it's on hold though since the shop I go to is out of Might of Old Krosa, and I need to make room for Thoughtseize in the mainboard. It's basically the Infect deck I posted after yours, but with Rancor instead of Invigorate, and I cut the Apostle's Blessing down to 2 and added 2 Giant Growth.
Just so you know, though, the most successful ones were multicolor. Reasoning was because, with the mana fixing available in Modern, you weren't forced into monogreen like you were back when this was in Standard, due to the lack of it. And these decks are greatly improved because they now can greatly ignore interaction with your opponent.
