I think it might be hemorrhoid.. You can get that easily.. One of my older brothers had that when he was 24 and he was in huge pain.

Sounds familar. I badly strained my wrist a few days ago and I've had it wrapped the past 48 hours. Don't have health insurance either. One of the drawbacks of having not gone to college, and not having a job to afford my own plan.
As for the blood in your stool it could simply be a tear around your anus or a ruptured haemorrhoid, but it there is quite a lot of blood, consistently then it is something you have to check out regardless of having health insurance or not.

If you have any health problems you can't fix in a jiffy, it's always a good idea to go see a doctor. Just choose the general ailments type of doctor.
Blood with your shit... probably you're somewhat fine if it's just a small amount, if you experience painful scraping-type feeling while shitting, maybe you have some open wound inside your anus that leaks blood that goes with the shit. JMO, but best see a doctor next time, no ifs or buts.

Came back from the visit with some bad news and a lighter wallet. Turns out I have an ulcer. Great. Just what I needed to know. Now I have to take some medications and go back for another visit in a couple weeks. There goes all my hard earned cash.

On a side note, it is a bit irritating how some of you are just like "get health insurance" problem solved. You do know how expensive health insurance is, right? The average wage, while trying to live on your own... it is nearly impossible to have health care. That's why the number of young adults (+18 who didn't go to college) who don't have health insurance has increased exponentially. It's not so easy as just picking up an item at a store.

It might have gotten much worse had you never went. The effects of an untreated and unhealed ulcer are serious problems and the surgery to fix them are far more expensive than the meds you'll be taking so try not to think so badly of it.

I've had a few people in my family who were diagnosed with bowel cancer, that's a less fortunate result to get.
Anyway I guess it's a shame that your money is gone like that but if you would've ended up sick as a dog (with worse symptoms) then your money wouldn't have much of a purpose.
