As for the the pictures, not half bad. No details means nothing to screw up in the drawings. That is what always screws me over. Looks like there is some heavy influence from Mech Warriors? I like the tank and not so sure about the spider thingy.

Thx for the compliment, what do u mean by the details? and i dont play mech warriors i just thought of this up in my head but i did get influences from other fiction.
As for the other drawings, they just happened to be there in the paper and decided to leave it on 'cos i like it n cbf to do it.
The spider thingy is just a random doodling i thought up from the vortex of insanity(aka my brain)

I mean like armor sections, vents, and other nuances of mecha. As for the reference to Mech Warrior, I meant this:

Well the small details are kinda small to see cos its a doodle. the mecha has a smooth surface and is not very "machine like"(gears, pistons pointy bits ). for the next drawing, the coalition M246, its gonna be different. more bulky and tougher.
And when i see the reference, it does kinda look ike it.

Ah finally I got to see it, considering the size of your mech the design looks good. Seems like a multipurpose mech. Looking forward for the next one. :)

since its gonna be another long time till i get a better drawing and another access to the scanner, im gonna post a small short fiction about the mecha.

during the Battle of Red Sand in 2532, several tank divisions belonging to the Coalition had managed to strike at the rear lines of Army-group Primaris. Fearing a total route and collapse in its flanks, Martian high-command sent troops to bolster the counter-attack. Among those units were several squadrons of newly modified Type-101s, which is a variant of the type-56s. Led by highly distinguish ace pilot, Herman Brundst, the squadron designated Group 28 striked at the tank units head on.

Armed with the highly successful railcannons and modified gravity-packs , they decimated convoy after convoy of Coalition tanks. With the failure of Martian forces at Red Sand and the encirclement of Army-group Primaris Group 28 was forced to wage a guerilla warfare against the Coalition forces. Even though low on fuel and resources, the took a heavy toll on the coalition rear lines.

With the arrival of anti-mecha units, things look bleak for Group 28. Ace Herman Brundst's mecha suit was crippled by a blast from a plasma cannon and Herman himself was mortally wounded during a raid. Instead of being captured he detonated the power plant of his suit. He died inside his suit and took down an arsenal of enemy tanks.

during the renewed offensive by Martians to recapture Jericho, survivors of Group 28 finally linked up with allied units.

Throughout the Battle, Group 28 had took down more then 2000 armoured units, twenty thousand of tonnes of munitions, and tens of thousands of personal. Group 28 had suffered only 12 deaths out of 36 and totally exhauted ammunition supplies. later all survivors were awarded the order of heroes and the dead were posthumoursly awarded

Another piece of fiction, this time about the M246. Its more of a historical report then a story really but watcha' gonna do?

By 2535 the Coalition had efficently eliminated the Hinderburg line at Red Sand and destroyed the Martian Army-group Primaris. They then encirlcled the continent and besieged the fortress-city of Jericho.

the attrition rate was high and both sides suffered greatly. By the end of 2537, the coalition had lost more then three-million men and the Martians five-million. Jericho was not a fortress as in a single fortified castle but a large number of positions using the natural mountains as the foundations. They were formed stragetically around a larger fortress which inturn formed around the city itself.

The invention of the Hercules M246 was in one of the smaller forts surounding the city. the use of modified suits with reinforced arms and armour plates to reach in to the base of the structure and tear down the walls. the problem was enemy fire would then target the suits therfore destroyin it.

Coalition high command then designed a new suit named the Hercules. It was based on the venerable m246 but the similarities stopped there. the head like sensor and jetpacks was removed and in place was an energy poweplant which allows the arms to operate in stressful conditions. there were thicker armour and the most important of all was the experimental energy shields. they were also stripped off their ranged weapons but replaced with metal cables to attach itself to the walls to pull it down.

During the first month of use, the Hercules managed to breach the walls of over a hundred fortresses. Afterwards, they were equipped with flametghrowers to support troops during the assault after the breach. New variants equiped with drills and laser cutters were introduced.

At a breach of one of the fotresses surrounding Jericho, over two hundred Hercules were used. Their energy shielding had protected storming parties as they followed the suits to the walls. Later during the assault, the improvised suits equiped with flamethrowers had repelled the counter attack by the martians as the mix of tight confined spaces and flamethrowers were used to great effect. the fort had surrendered within a day of the breach.

Hmm about the anti-mecha unit, what are they? Are they infantry, artillery or tanks?

I think to make it more interesting, how about modification due to the different mecha use by both army. For example the Martian army have this unit that have the ability to fire at a long distance, so the Coalition developed a new mecha or armament for their mecha to counter the enemy's mecha.

The anti-mech units are a variety of units equipped with highly powerful single shot weapons. In the story they were sniper tanks which are like todays self propeled or assault gun platforms and mech units with plasma cannons for a single powerful shot of plasma whcih can obliterate any man shape target.

Through out the conflict, both sides develop weapons and tactics to counter each other. As a rule, Martian mechs are fasterand agile but fragile. While Coalition are heavier and bulkier but can pack a punch.

Heres a list of weapons the Martian mechs are equiped with:

Plasma weapons - mech, heavy infantry killer
twin-linked .50 cal machine gun - massed infantry killer
Rail cannon - tank killer/sniper role
auto-cannon - all rounder weapon
Energy blades - crazy close combat monster
Missile/rocket launchers - tank hunter/med to long range artillery
flmaethrowers - close support to cook units out of cover or repel assaults.

The coalition also uses similar weapons but are different. some weapons are more advanced while some less so.

Wow, that does look like my mecha. hmmm if i may, i might copy some features from it and incorporate it in my later designs. Where is the pic from anyway?

Im going to redesign the drawings of the mechas but sonce i cant get a scanner due to the holidays and cant access the library. Im going to post another fic on but some reason the window collapsed on me and didnt save...ye i got alotta problems. So ill post it later when i redo it.

I would like to post mine but I need to finish one of my old sketch since the drawing is not that very clear to see. This time its really my original design mech.

This is an early concept of the coalition mech i did early on in the year. I did not have the storyline in the right places back then and so the name and alleigance is different.

This was originally meant to be a martian mecha but i changed it for some reason. I supose this seems more "human" like as it is more humanoid than the martian one.

The auto-cannons mounted in the forearms was quickly drawn and so lacks details such as ejection ports, shells, e.t.c. but it gives an ideaon what the weapons are placed.

First some background story.
TECHNOIDS

Storyline
4444 ad, human civilizations have rapidly grown advanced and thus begins the race towards space. With the advancement of technology humans were able to colonize planets in the solar system. Due to great advancement of technologies they were visited by guests that they have been waiting for centuries, the aliens. Different races of aliens visited the humans and made contact with them. The humans are no longer considered as an outsider anymore, they have been accepted into the circle. For years they shared knowledge with the aliens but suddenly the aliens stopped contacting with the human races and disappeared. The technology left by the aliens will later be used to manufacture mech units and advanced spaceships.

4900 ad, the humans now spread across the solar system made a council under a treaty they called the United Galaxy Federations, the Galactic Command is born and Earth is chosen as the leader of the Union. However the decision of Earth as the leader of the union was not well received by the Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto federation. In 4905 Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto quit the Galactic Command as a sign of protest and formed the Solar Uniformed Union(SUN). GC sees this as a threat took defensive stance by positioning their warships near SUN borders. The warships are joined by space fighter jets and the newly developed weapon of the humans in the solar system, the Technoids. The Technoids are machines that actually perform labor tasks but later were produced as military unit due to the maneuverability and the ability to fight on any terrain and weather.

Here's my mecha design for Rumbirue. One is a really old drawing and the other seems kinda sketchy and I'm too lazy to finish it...

Rumbirue codenamed Mini Fortress is a prototype mecha that could carry tanks and fighter jets units. A successful prototype would lead into the building of the gigantic mecha unit, the Mega Fortress which would be able to carry hundreds of vehicles and fighter jets.

This is a biography about a martian mecha pilot part 1 excuse my grammar

Born in New Jerusalem in 2458 to a political family, Reine Whittman was the most distinguished mech ace during the Martian conflict. As a chld, he had shown great potential and interest in machinery and military science. During his highschool years, he had graduated at the head of his year and indeed all other graduates before him.

His university days at New Jerusalem institute was one of constant partying and susbstance abuse as he began to enter a new society. He had been arrested for a number of charges including assault, manslaughter and an incident of gross neglience during a simulation of batlefield conditions which left 4 people dead. It was only his family influence which enabled him to enter the much celebrated Jericho War College later on.

His time at Jericho War college was a complete character change and he was responsible for a number of reforms on battlefield doctrines for tank warfare and the newly emerging role of mechas soon attracted attention of Martian high command.

It was during his time at Jericho War college in 2485 that he developed a new type of mecha but was never put on production as the project was too ambitious and cost ineffective. However, he had still laboured on the experimental battlesuit and funded by his own personal funds. He had based it on existing models of battlesuits worked it down until it resembled nothing of its original components. It was in theory much faster and lighter then contemporary Martian and Coalition models and required a much smaller energy source. Instead of using Martian technologies, he had used a hybrid of Coalition/federation weapon systems which, at his time, was a technological marvel.

The model was never put into mass production however and only a single unit was made, stored in his family home.

In 2490, he graduated from War College and went to work on other projects, but with hostilities between the federation and the coalition erupted into full out war, he was immediatly drafted in the army and attained the rank of Vice-Sirdar (senior captain/major) Leading an amoured tank battalion. During the conflict both sides began to use mechas and its emergence as a major arsenal was evident.

Later in the Battle of Lunar 2493, Whittman, now a sirdar, personally lead a dozen squadrons of mechas and striked deep into the heart of the Coalition army and annhiliated its command cadre and confirmed kills equalling an entire Corps(30,000+). This famous charge was highly used in a propaganda holo-vid named the Charge of the Valkyrie which, during the month of its viewing, was responsible for more then 80% increase in recruitment.

Whittman took time off the frontlines and concentrated his research on his personal mecha and upgrade it with more modern technology such as gravity boosters and directed energy weapons. During his time off, things were looking bleak for Martian forces. Coalition forces had managed to liberate Lunar and launched ships to strike at the home defense fleets of the outer Martian territories.

In 2495, he had been called back to active duty but managed to bring his incomplete battlesuit along for further improvements. He reversed engineeered Coalition technology from fallen Coalition battlesuits and acquired it onto his suit.

In 2501, Coalition forces invaded Phobos and Whittman was promoted to Hetman (general) and was in charge of the 81st Martian Army to retake control of the moon along with eight other armies under supreme command of High-Hetman Bronzi Capriel. Whittman's persojnal doctrine was to lead from the front and lead by example. At first, the initial counter invasion was going well but a surpirse landing on the rear of Martian lines by Coalition mechas and jump troops had collapsed the Martian front rapidly. Capriel was killed when his command section took a direct hit from a bunker buster round.

With the entire army group in total rout as they face the enemy in two fronts, Whittman, taking command of the Martian forces and piloting his perosnal suit, The Valkryie, he striked whenever the line was folding and buying precious time for his men to regroup and reform a new line. Leading a ragtag force mixed with the newly arrived 102nd armoured corps, 432nd Volksgrenadier corps and the 535th Super-heavy division, he perfromeda pincer strike and isolated groups of slow moving coalition units by using the superior speed and maneuverbility of Martian units.

Within three years, whittman had turned what was a massacre into the Martian Federations Military's most brilliant performance ever and remebered as a perfect example of what a combined, multi-arms tactic could achieve.

Lost his left arm, his left eye and his mecha suit while attacking an anti-aerial unit gun during the last phase of the Phobos invasion and during his time in rehabilitation of his wounds, he had finally perfected his mecha unit. Faster, stronger and more powerful then all existing medium suits. It houses a miniature plasma reactor which was normally used to power starships and cities. An energy shield which provided protection to everypart of the body and can withstand a dozen direct shots from most infantry and tank energy weapons. It has a sophisticated weapon system which allows the user to track multiple targets at once.

Whittman named the Valkyrie 2 after his previous battlesuit. He had contacted Martian highcommand with his design but again, it could not be feasible for it to enter mass production especially when the war effort is already strecthed to breaking point.

In 2508, the Coalition gained space supremacy and landed directly on Martian homesoil. this then began the next phase in the conflict which would prove the bloodiest in the entire war.

Well I think you should put your story in the writing section. I never expected that you would write a very long story. I read it but I'm not good in giving comment in writing however I'm not sure about the main character being a mecha designer and also going into battlefield. I'm kinda confused at that part, were he a soldier or a researcher? If he's a researcher, what motivates him into entering the battlefield? If he's a soldier, why did he designed the mech? Were it the order of the higher ups or did he decided to just go into the lab and present the idea to the researcher and scientist?

To me its a good story but actually I'm not the type who reads much though...

Ye, i think i've over did it a little bit.

Well, he always have a thing for engineering and science but his family is from a military background and so he enrolled in the miliotary. His affilation with enginnering and military officer training made him a natural commander of a mech unit and then he starts to experiment with mechs. He made his own mech out of his own ambition and surpass others. I should also say that he has a high ego.
