Ok there is this girl I care about alot. She just recently got out of a relationship with her bf(they both cheated on each other. She fucked another guy and he kissed a girl. But he cheated first). I've known her for atleast 3 years. I really want to go out with her. She is breaking apart from them breaking up. She can't sleep and she cries every night. Whats the best possible moves to make to hopefully have a chance to get her to try going out with me. Also this is long distance. I can possibly maybe see her when I got to the state she lives in when I visit my father. Also whats a good v day gift to get her? She said anything but chocolate. I can spend like $20 and that includes shipping the gift.

The thing is she knows what she did is wrong. Which is why she is crying so much, because she knows how she hurt him. That and he has a new gf. I know long distance almost never works but I want to try.

buy her something with meaning, the price does not matter as long as it is sentimental and personal she will like it.
You could e.g. buy one of those old lockets where you can put pictures in and then put both of you pictures in there before giving it to her. This may however be to early to give such a gift since it is either incredibly cheesy or very romantic, depending on how close you are.

I once bought one for my ex, and I just went into the first jewelry shop I saw and they had both a gold and silver version.
Silver is quite cheep, so hopefully you will be able to buy such a locked with your budget. You can also try pawnshops or secondhand shops, since they may have some older ones which would look nicer because jewelry makers use to think much more about the details (patterns and such on the surface)

I think the best thing to do would be to make something yourself. It shows how much time you're willing to put into something for her. But if you don't have time, a locket/cheap necklace/bracelet would suffice.

There are many guides on the net showing creative ways to make cards. If you buy some carton and make a card that has a big hart pop up when she opens it (plus of cause write something romantic in the card too) and she can see you made that, then that would give major "great guy" points since it is

I have never done it myself, but a (female) PhD at my uni made one for a birthday the other day, using only what was available on her desk. She made a popup card with a 3-layer cake in.
