I don't get what you don't get so unless you say what it is that you don't understand from this thread I don't think I can help you, though from your name I'm not sure if you're familiar with eva...

Well, the Rebuild isn't following the original story arc, so the ending itself may be changed.

I for one just hope she has a tolerable personality. Asuka was...bleh.

For the people who don't get it:

This thread is about the new series of four Evangelion movies, collectively known as Evangelion Rebuild, which are a retelling of the series with shiny new animation, music, scenes, and MADNESS. Then first film was an almost exact retelling (save that the angels have now been moved up a number, so Sachiel, the first angel you meet, is actually number 4 now instead of 3) until the fight with Ramiel, which was a little different. Everything then suddenly went TOTALLY different in a variety of ways, including:

Kowaru climbing out of a box in a big line of boxes, with the boxes on one side of him open. Only on the moon.
SEELE talking to Kowaru...again, ON THE MOON.
The moon with EVA-sized blood splatters on it.
Lilith in Terminal Dogma not having a mask on.
There being another Lilith with the mask apparently under-construction, or perhaps held captive, on (you guessed it) the moon.

One of the confirmed differences is the EVA lineup. That EVA this thread is talking about is the new EVA 05, piloted by that girl.

*deep breath* In terms of my opinion, it's a bit mad o.0 But then, Rebuild as a whole looks like it's going to shake up Evangelion like nobody's business. I'm just hoping they give us the @3 Shinji. The fact that he actually punched Toji this time round hints that we will =p

Seems like Shinji got an upgrade too. My only hope for rebuild is they better make an ending that don't messes with our mind.

Here's some interesting new Eva designs that I stumbled on my favourite mecha news site. It's a from a novelization of Eva that's just started. I forgot from which magazines though...

I think I should change the title considering its becoming more of an Eva discussion thread.

"Three years after", eh? Looks interesting what with Unit-01 using Unit-02's arms while fighting an MP Eva. The Evas look a little too mechanical though and the winged centaurian Eva makes the new Unit-05 look normal.

The new designs look more aggressive than the past designs. I wonder if the newer EVA units can move around without a plug? Also, if the novel takes off we could be looking at a new EVA series.

True, but since its actually a retelling of the story unlike in the original series I was kinda hoping they might comes up with a different ending. However, I actually don't mind if they follow the same end as the original though...

From what I heard they're using the S2 engine for the new EVA. So there's no need for the plug.

Anyway a little bit of a correction on my last post. Seems like the novel have been going for a while starting early in 2008.

I watched the anime before and saw the movie. I DON'T GET WHAT'S SO GOOD ABOUT THIS SERIES!? I loved the EVAs, they were awesome and sleek. Fights were pretty alright, BUT I HATE THE STORY! And what I hate more than the story IS SHINJI! I have never hated a fictional character with so much passion.
