I don't know, there isn't any particular moral ambiguity to it, if you are just doing something because it feels good for you. I guess the question of morality would come about if you did it for other reasons.

And... I don't know, I think most people fail to separate those feelings, which is what commonly makes sec friends a failure.
But some people just like sex, and because you can trust a friend, you can fuck them. I guess it's easier when you don't have really any feelings to get confused about.

Relationships built purely on sex never work out the way you plan. Good or bad, end of story.

One night stands in so much as there is no "relationship" to speak of before or afterward are fine in my opinion. I've done it once, and from what I can tell as long as you're careful, safe, and discreet when it's all over then there's no reason for it not to work out if you want it to work out.

Not really, you're not looking at the corners for a one night stand. You tend to go to bars and shit and find people there say 'hey you're hot, I'm hot let's go back to my place'

I could probably have sex with a friend, I haven't had any friends where I've just wanted to get into bed with them, but if I did have a friend who was interested in me like and the feelings were mutual - possibly.

The only thing that gets screwed up is when you do get in a relationship, the attraction between that friend doesn't go away and then you're stuck between someone you want to be in a relationship with and someone you want to screw on the side which can lead to cheating.

personally i agree with one night stand
but i'm not fully support it coz' if someone have a bad personality like possessive, like to gossip, etc. it can bring a shame on you (i detest person like that)
so in my opinion, one night stand is good as long as you know who's your partner (i definitely object to just pick a random chick or anything but if she's hot, i might as well enjoy it 8) )

Morals and principles are relative, really, and most people define them differently. Morality is also not synonymous with honor, so I don't worry about it too much.

I've had a couple of one night stands, and to be honest, I hated them..
To me, sex is something that should be enjoyed as part of a relationship, otherwise it's meaningless.

I just recently had a one night stand with a guy.
Like, a complete stranger basically. My friend who is a swinger convinced me to have a go at it since I've had a long dry spell. She knew him, she told me he'd treat me good.

It was probably the worst experience ever. He was way too rough, I seriously had scabs on my one nipple.

I didn't feel anything but guilt and a dirty feeling to me when I was finished. I wore him out but I couldn't get anywhere with it - I had to pretend to be out of breath.

being a guy. might be a lil wierd for me saying this...i dont like one night stands, i agree with whitewings. i mean i enjoy sex, but as long as its with someone im in a relationship with. otherwise i dont think its right. lots of my friends have "friends with benefits" i cannot stand that either.

I can understand seeing one night stands as such, I guess, but friends with benefits or whatever you want to call it, not so much so. I mean, it's not like it's a person you don't know or distrust.
But I've already said in this thread, that situation almost always will end up in failure and causing a lot of problems.

I for one say NO to the one night stand! mainly for these reasons:

Sorry but no thanks, I would rather be without sex for a while than to end up with something i could never get rid of! (and for people thinking about "use a condom and you'll be fine" NO the F*ck you wont because condoms break!)
