There's a psychological state that people enter when they see someone in trouble or need. It's called "Diffusion of responsibilty" Say if a person saw someone fall on the floor and try and get up, they would think to themselves "Oh, someone else will help out"
Looks like this was another example of this happening.
I've done than once :(
It happend after a football game. The people walked towards the parking area (it was dark already), and so did I. In front of me walked a girl, with a backpack on her back, and then some guy came to her and grabbed at her backpack.
At first she didn't notice that, but then she did and was like: "hey, what are u doing there?" and he pretended like he didn't do anything and kept walking behind her. It looked like they'd know each other.
But the guy didn't stop grabbing at the backpack. I didn't know what to do. Do they know each other? Is he just teasing her? It looked like she needed help, but I didn't know whether they know each other or not, so .. I didn't do anything.
Then suddenly he walked away rapidly and the girl seemed to be relieved. I thought "okay, they didn't know each other ... whatever, nothing happend, so..." but then the girl screamed "he's got my moneybag!" and somehow I felt pretty bad and guilty afterwards ....
That won't happen again ^_^
@Video: That sucks. reminds me of the woman that died in a hospiltal in the waiting room when no one did do anything.
whatever, I'm glad the guy didn't die
