Questions about guys...

The Confused about Woman topic got me thinking. I'm going to pick the mind of my favorite men... Fakku boys.

One: Why is it that guys feel freaked out when a girl wants to just "hang out" and do things he likes, such as video games or playing music? Some guys I tried to hang out, they got all wigged out and pretty much they made me leave.

Two: Do guys really compare anime woman to real woman?

Three: Why in the hell do guys go after the idiot women who care more about what brand name their jeans are, what color their nails are, or how much they spent on a fucking purse than getting to know a guy, share his likes and just flat out, be cool, not a high-class uppity princess?

Four: What's up with the faux-hawk?

One : i think that would be my type of the guy u must had hanged out with, yes my kin generally gets easily freaked out when girls wanna do things we like, first i should say is our kin doesn't have much contact with girls and all we have is 2D girls for ourselves and our mindset when we hang around with girls is 'is a girl, what should i do next ?' therefore making us easily got tensed and sometimes the weaker ones who can't handle the situation will ultimately in the end bore the girl away or accidentally irritates her. Sorry but my kin can be very hopeless, not to forget i am one of them as well.

Two: Depending on which type of guys, if ur talking about my kin who pretty much stays indoors then yes we do compare anime women with real ones. If ur asking about the hunky or the outgoing ones then they wont cuz majority of them don't know wat is anime to begin with...

Three: That would be the idiotic guy or he's just simply blind or! simply popular hungry freak ass.

Four: Erm mayb that guys likes sport idols like David Beckham ?

1 I would love to hang out with anyone who shares the same interests I do regardless of whether they are male or female. Granted most of my friends are guys but there are a few girls who I know really dig gaming, anime, manga and various other entertainment. Maybe your guy friends have insecurity issues?

2 Some guys do. It's sad really.

3 There are way too many shallow ass people.

One:Don't know. Personally, I'd love it if a girl would hang out and play video games or listen to music with me. Infact, that's what we pretty much did in high school.


Two: The hardcore Otaku seem to.

One: Play music? I can't play music so I have no idea and there's plenty of bands with guys and girls so I have no idea why anyone would even bat an eyelash. As for video games there could be several reasons. 1: They're nervous they'll appear too dorky in from of a girl and as men they must impress girls because if you don't impress girls then you get no girls and if you get no girls you get no sexins and if you get no sexins you're viewed as a loser and if you're a loser you don't impress girls. (You'd think this would only be a high-school or under style mentality but I've found that it seems to still be pretty much how most men think for their entire lives) 2: They spend so much time playing video games they're afraid they'll hurt your feelings by woopin your ass too hard or possibly even worse, losing to a girl, who they're going to assume plays less than they do, and be mocked by their other friends who are like them for getting pwned. 3: They just have no idea how to act around girls or have been convinced somehow that the things girls do and guys do are entirely separate lists of activities and are too shocked by you messing with their "rules" to react well. (Of course I don't fall under any of these categories as I have a gf who is at least somewhat (you know, compared to me) interested in gaming and anime)

Two: What do you mean by compare? I often find myself comparing abstract concepts to people or apples to monster trucks, etc., etc. If you mean comparing them in ways in which we expect them to look/act, I'd have to say in some ways but for the most part not all that many. This would be because we were already comparing real women to fantasy idealized women we wished existed. I'd hope that most men would be intelligent enough to realize that a real woman getting anywhere close to meeting some of the criteria they're looking for is more than enough. (Did I just say hope, men, and intelligent in a sentence. Whatever I'm talking about is already doomed to suffer the wrath that is the sheer power of dumb.) I'm sure there are some qualities which an anime girls has which a guy especially likes and will look for that (or something similar) in real girls and that's ok but, for the most part I'm sure guys don't expect to find real bubble-heads or tsundere's or the like who are a perfect match ups for those stereotypes and not expect them to be completely annoying. As for the looks department...I'd say some do and these people are kinda screwed because the facts are that real women have bodies that are possible and imperfect. The fact is that for the most part breasts bigger than D cups aren't that great and no matter what size they are they don't just hang in the air and bounce around for no reason and aren't the anime style perfect spheres. Also real women have actual noses. (Noses are SO overrated)

Three: The men who go after these women are shallow and/or just want to have sex with that person and ditch them (or hang on for dear life if said person thinks that there's no way they're anywhere near as attractive to that girl). Also of course young (or at least young minded) guys don't think about what a relationship with said person will be like (at all, or they wouldn't touch said person with a 10-foot pole). Anyone else will avoid these women as they'd rather have a real relationship or has the skills and is willing to put up with tons of bullshit and has decided to be a player (or is in it for the money or something along those lines). (Yes that's right guys try to date chicks for their money too, it's not just the other way around.)

Four: I refuse to acknowledge the object to which this question relates and therefore the question itself.

Rukia, I'd have to say that I assume you actually already have your own answers to all these questions (well number four is just....yeah) and actually just asked them because you wanted to see others perspectives on them and possibly help those who don't know better learn a thing or two. After all you have a bf and even if he doesn't want to answer the questions you could have already forced him to with a nice threat or two. (Here's some advice guys, you don't want to win arguments with a gf you just want to avoid losing them. This is tricky and involves theoretical physics.) Anyway, thanks for the opportunity for mental exercise and to see what other people have to say.

I do sometimes. But usually it's only for metaphorical purposes. As in, "oh, this girl is like Louise." Basically, it's just so they get the personality down on terms my otaku crowd can understand.



I wouldn't know the answer to this one. I always have judged women (not the bad form of judged) by their personality rather than their superficiality. I prefer intelligent and interesting people. Hell, if I found a girl who was on par with me in both general intelligence as well as anime/manga/video game terminology, etc... well let me tell you, she wouldn't be single for long.

Naa i cant really answer that question, i dont have close female friends. However its not really a big thing if a girl shares your Interest for Anime and Video Games. At least we have one girl in my Pen and Paper Group and there is a whole bunch of Otaku Girls running around on my monthly Anime Fan Meeting.

You live in Texas, of course this gonna happen. Guys in Texas are either Macho assholes, emofags, and really shy insecure otakus/gamers(or at least the guys I perceive you are talking about are). They rarely get to talk to girls, and so, seeing one takes them out of there comfortable habitat. This type will only act normal to a girl that they consider a guy, which is a testament to your looks I'm sure, and in actuality they are attracted to you. But they believe what they're doing is embarrassing in the presence of one as yourself, so they make you leave in an attempt to save face in your mind.



Yes, in the sense that girls compare guys to celebrities. Guys compare girls to a media that they are particularly attracted to, anime, television, movies, etc. And it's not comparison in the sense of,"oh she's not as hot as ____" but more of a comparison for reference like Nouta stated.



The same reason girls go after the hunky, asshole, "Captain of the whatever sport steroids made them excel at".



Where in Texas do you live? Nevermind, I've actually seen a handful of guys in faux-hawks. My guess is that it looks stylish to the girls but manly enough for the boys, when in actuality you just look flatout metrosexual(gay).

Y'all are over-thinking things. It's all about sex.

1 - On "Just hanging out doing the things he likes" since you are female, deep down in his mind, he wants to have sex with you and too much "just hanging out" leads to the friend zone (i.e. the NO SEX zone). Also, since he wants to have sex with you, if you do too many "boyish" things, then he starts to feel weird because it's gotten a little gay (not that there's anything wrong with that). Find some gay guys to hang out with and you'll have no problems.

2 - We compare everything to real women, whom we want to have sex with. Look at those melons, nice! That car is sexy, I'd love to take it for a ride. You know what the Teton mountain range in Wyoming is named for? That's right, teton is French for breast, want to bet those early Freanch explorers were all male?. For further examples, just think of all the nicknames we have for breasts and female genitalia.

3 - On why guys go after certain women For the same reason girls go after the guys who act like asses instead of the "nice guys". You want to have sex with the partner that society has dictated to be more masculine or feminine.

4 - On the faux-hawk they hope it makes them stand out more so females will notice them and sex them up. I'm not saying it works, I'm just saying that's what they hope.

Err, using what in what context now? Also, exactly what did I fail at, I was invited to answer some questions and I did so very frankly. I apologize if I've offended anyone, but if you seek deep, thoughtful and professional insights on gender behavior, then perhaps the Random section on a hentai website's forum is not the first place you should be looking.
