So I was at the supermarket today buying some deli meat (I like meat and I like sandwiches, together they make a fine combination) and I heard some kids behind me spouting "You just lost the game!" and asking people where to find various cakes. I turn around and see a group of people chanting memes and accomplishing nothing more than disturbing the people around them.

Basically they looked like a group of small idiots acting like children, and I hope this phase of stupidity quickly ends.

hmm... you may have met some of my friends then. theyre all newfags to 4chan, and prolly the cancer thats killing it.

The exact same thing happened in my Computing class, where the people just down the row were always shouting meems out during the lesson. Thank god I've finished college.

I admit, I've been going to 4chan for a long time now... but it's been ruined so much now that it's become more well-known... even "mainstream"

So many people come out and take it the wrong way... like the protests on Scientology? Wtf that's not 4chan...

Seriously... I hate kids these days... I hope when I one day have a kid(s) with my fiance, I can do something right and not end up with one of the millions of punk kids that there are today

Some people believe that speaking in a different way, though not necessarily intelligent, make them special as compared to others. It could be part of their growing-up phase and hopefully, they will become mature as time passes.

I don't know what part of the country your from Jacob, but your not alone. I've been driving a semi truck for about 5 years. I've been to every state in the us except Hawaii (when are they going finish that bridge) and all of Canada. I go shopping every Monday and Friday and it's the same everywhere. Between out of control kids and daft employees its hard to get even a simple request done. I really wish you could leagaly beat stupid people. Oh yeah btw I live on lunch meat and bread. It gets addictive.

There is nothing wrong with 4chan, it has led to a lot of great things. But there is something wrong with people who take it too seriously and bring the more annoying parts into everyday life.

At it's heart 4chan is just a place where diverse people come together, and like anything else this can lead to both amazing and terrible things.

I went to 4chan a few weeks ago and to my surprise, people were posting about personal problems and were not getting torn to shreds. To me it was kind of awe-inspiring.

Seriously. A lot of the people who frequent 4chan take it way too seriously. I've been going there since about 3-4 months after it first went up and the decline it's been experiencing (mainly in the last year) is sad.

I will say this: I love that song that plays on /b/ now.

What happened at Anime Boston?

Every other thing I heard was "You just lost the game" or "The cake is a lie". Perhaps it was funny the first time.

But... it IS a lie... don't trust her! SAVE YOURSELF!!! :shock:

The same thing happened when I went to fanime in San Jose. It was funny the first time but it got really old after that. One of my friends actually came up with an effective way to counter it. Whenever someone said 'you just lost the game' he would say 'your mom was the game'. They had no comeback after that.

I was funny when I beat Portal when it came out. And then someone said it. I giggled. Then I heard it every other sentence at Anime Boston. Now it's not funny.

Damn I just lost the game...

Joking aside, I have never been to 4chan x3 so I'm always behind on the memes that come out of that place. Dx
But I did hear alot of that crap at a previous con.
