Nothing complicated, just post one or more random facts that you deem interesting to share with the rest of the world. Could be anything from personal stuffs to revelations that just happened to you while you read this post.

I'll go first~
According to my estimates and calculations, when Aquarion Evol performs the Mugen Punch in episode 4, its arm accelerates around 35.076km/sec^2 and would impact the earth with the force of over 2900 nuclear bombs. Of course assuming I'm wrong about the mass of Aquarion, and it's only a fraction of the weight I estimated, the impact still has the same force as many many many nuclear bombs.

The tallest mountain in the solar system is mt olympus on mars, thank you Persona 4.

Many predict doomsday on the December 21 2012 because the Mayan calender records an occurrence where the sun will align with the center of the galaxy . Many people believe this to be a rare and ominous event.

The sun aligns with the center of the galaxy every year.

Lobsters are one of the few species on earth to benefit from old age; they get stronger, faster and wiser. Very few lobsters ever die of old age, if they aren't caught for human consumption, they're killed by predators.

A Giant Panda is actually a Carnivore; it should be hunting prey and eating meat. But like humans, it is highly adaptable to its surroundings and has been eating Bamboo for, well let's just say quite a while.

Bamboo makes up almost the entire of the Giant Panda's diet because bamboo is so easy to come by where they're naturally found in the wild, in South-western China's bamboo forests. Because of their carnivorous stomach, they receive very little nutrients from the Bamboo, so they must eat large quantities of it and generally avoid doing anything majorly strenuous to save energy, such as socialising and climbing steep slopes.

You ever get cold after you eat? It's because the process of digestion. The body takes the blood to the stomach to digest the food. When the blood goes to the stomach it takes it away from the other parts of the body which then causes you to be cold.

The word "Otaku" originally referred to someone else's house or family as a second-person honorific.

The word got a bad name when in 1989, a man called Tsutomu Miyazaki, who was apparently an avid fan of anime and horror films, killed and raped the dead bodies of four girls aged between 4 and 7 years old, and terrorised the victims' families with Nuisence phonecalls, sent postcards with gory details of what he did to them, and pictures sent to their homes. He was dubbed "The Otaku Murderer".

There is dispute over whether he actually was a fan of anime, as some have accused the media of planting pornography when the photos were taken of his home, and were playing on the publics' fears of Otaku in order to cement a conviction.

That's why the Otaku culture is generally frowned upon in Japan.
