That's from one of the movies from my childhood (in a gloomy post-comunist country), "The travels of Mister Kleks" ('Kleks' meaning spilled atrament). I'm fully aware the "lyrics" to this song are pure nonsense, but maybe, just maybe they accidentally mean something. So than, I'd like to request a translation, even a partial one.

And one more thing, I don't know west from east in Chinese (or such), but to my ears pronounciation of the singer (Wiesław Michnikowski btw, a great actor) sounds quite authentic. Am I mistaken?

Now that you talk about it, I forgot the name "Chinese" basicaly means Mandarin. Would "Chinese language group" be good enough then?

cantonese and mandarin IS chinese, mandarin is oficial while cantonese is a dialect though it is commonly used. btw that wsnt chinese ;)

Pan Kleks was an ecranisation of a novel by Brzechwa (As far as I remember), and it was co-produced by the brotherly Soviet nation, so the poor Ceskoslovensko couldn't complain then, even if they wanted to ;D
Never heard of "Pan Tau", but I guess I'll look for it, nothing better than Warsaw Pact cinematography.

Pan Tau is series for childern, and from that vid I guess it's pretty much the same as this Pan Kleks.

Yes it was, but thanks to that we had a lot of fun any "normal" nation could only dream about ;D All those lines just to find there is nothing in the shop apart from vinegar, or how delightfuly those sour-as-hell oranges sent on christmas from the brotherly nation of Kuba tasted. And what great sportsmen did we have! The throwing records of the GDR are deemed to be "Impossible to break by any man" untill this day ;D there was no discipline we couldn't dream about a medal in. is completly untranslatable to both Polish and, at least Low-german. Not sure about Russian and Czech, but this one seems fake.

Polish wikipedia notes one interesting thing, though Polish for Yerevan is "Erywań", the radio was known as "Erewan"
